We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe bathtub scared me to death that I’d slip and fall. Incredibly unsafe getting in. Getting out was a little better. Not enough plug-in outlets by the bed for guests from foreign locations. One one of us could plug in with standard adapters. You needed a whole other set of the two that currently exist. Caused a fight before bed. My traveling companion locked herself in the elevator on her way to check out. There should be some kind of warning sign.

IndonesiaThe instructions on how to find the hotel coach at the airport could be better, as we spent over 15 minutes to find out its location. No clear instructions and map were provided. Also the bedroom could do with a bit more general lighting, as it was a bit dark for me to pack up with the lighting in the room.
The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Easy check in, and check out. The carpet in the floor was a bit thick that made rolling a suitcase a bit hard. The room was perfect, clean, highly maintained, temperature control, lots of electricity sockets, cable TV, and room service was swift and on time. The hotel coach was very helpful (if you know how to find its location. Instructions given on this matter were not the clearest nor helpful).

New ZealandDownside, no one said that the free airport transfer works only between 5 am and 12 am, meaning if you arrive in between you will need to figure out your way to the hotel and taxis only accept cash - I spent fair amount of time figuring this out - something you don't want to do after a long flight in the middle of the night. And Hong Kong is huge, meaning you will easily walk your weekly steps in a couple of hours.
The room was great and the closeness to the airport is one of the biggest advantages. Wi-fi was very good. Staff nice. Unfortunately could not try out the breakfast as was too tired to wake up early.

Very comfortable stay for a long (17hour) stop over in Hong Kong! Beautiful spacious, clean room, very comfy bed. Staff lovely, everything you would expect from Marriott hotels. Regular free shuttle bus to and from the airport was a great bonus!

New ZealandThe only funny things I would nit-pick are that the staff can be a bit blunt (but that's somewhat to be expected in HK) and we could hear a strange computer sound next to our room which bothered our young son a little bit.
The buffet breakfast was great. This was a nice family friendly location as we were going to Disneyland HK. The room was very big and comfy. Even with a concert next door, it was quiet and we didn't hear much.
