Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the key system, was buggy for the elevator and room, it requires many tries the type of bath tub, very low, the water won't cover me, just half
I like the layout and the space in the room. We able to use the desk properly wth a good chair. The bed was also good. comfortable and big space to live temporarily

Spacious room for HK standards, and cleaned every day. Probably the best shower pressure we've ever had in a hotel! The location is great, very walkable and the Metro is very close. That 'hill' everyone talks about is peanuts, folks.

The mini fridge is not cold enough and there are no bottles of water provided.

Need to walk up hill to the hotel , the pillow was super flat we all had a neck problem afterwards

Both aspects of my stay are particular to my perspective, and may not be the same for other travelers. The steep hill could be a mobility problem for people, but there isn't much that can be done about that, and the hill is mentioned in the hotel information. As I was leaving for the airport, Typhoon 8 was raised and I needed to catch my flight. I was disappointed that more was not done to help me secure a vehicle. Luckily, two other travelers shared their taxi with me, after the front desk manager found one for them. They conversed in Cantonese, but the fellow travelers also spoke English to me. The stressful situation could have been improved by the front desk manager.
Great location for ease of getting to the MTR, or to Star Ferry and the waterfront, or anywhere else! It took a while to get used to walking up and down the fairly steep hill. The room was well suited to my needs, as I was working from my room to teach my students online every morning before enjoying the days I had in HK. The wonderful cleaning crew replenished supplies and cleaned my room well, and it was lovely to come back to a clean room.

The hotel is located on a steep hill - lots of stairs! There is no in house restaurant or buffet breakfast. The laundry service is expensive
For the price it is well located to access activities on Kowloon side. The walk to the MTR is a bit of a hike

Google maps orientation to reach the hotel through the Observatory road is wrong. Go around through Kimberley street.
Spacious rooms with comfortable bed and bathroom. Super well located in downtown mainland Hong Kong. Just next to Knutsord Terrace and a short walk to Kowloon Park the Tsim Sha Tsui metro station.

My room has 2 small beds which I was not expected. The style of hotel is quite old, so I saw many ppl confused with how to use hotel key cards at the elevator.
Location is really good. Room was cozy and quiet even though, the location of this hotel area is nearby a lot of bars.
