Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt was a little difficult to find it because is is in a big building and not very clear indications of where you have to go . Also the rooms where very small. But i guess it is standard for Hong kong
Itt is a good area, close to many restaurants and also close to the metro so it makes easy to move around. Also i lke that it is in a neighbourhood enviroment where also normal people live.

United KingdomThe lights were a bit confusing, and the beds had no curtain to help with privacy. This meant it's easy to wake people up. The size was not very big, and the bathroom was super tiny. The wifi cut out for a while on my last night. There were bugs on the walls but no zapper in sight.
The staff were good and clear. The location is ideal. The facility had everything needed if you need to purchase items like toothbrush etc. The wifi was generally good. The price for the location was good. There is a 711 nearby and temple street too!

ChinaThe upper bunk has too little space and no cover at all which makes it uncomfortable in terms of privacy as well as disturbing if someone turn on lights. In addition it is little difficult to locate the reception as there is no sign or anything.
Have individual toilet in every rooms, the lower and middle bunk has cover that provides better privacy.

NetherlandsSpace is limited in the room, as well as in the tiny bathroom. No issue if you can shower elsewhere in town, travel with hand luggage, and you just need a bed.
Good location and connections from Jordan, compensating for the lack of space, comfort and amenities. Beds are small but clean enough, the lower beds come with excellent privacy curtains. The guests were observant of dorm etiquette, compensating well for the high occupancy.

Hong KongFacilities basic. Dorms and bathrooms small but not unusual for Hong Kong where space is limited.
Great location convenient for getting to any part of Hong Kong, all transportation nearby, also dining, shopping, Tin Hau temple, many night markets - within walking distance. You can even get your fortune told by a bird at the temple square. Very lively atmosphere at night. It’s particularly enjoyable to have dinner outdoors at one of the small restaurants on Temple Street a couple of blocks away. Grace does a great job and is quite helpful. Room and dorm prices are on the low end for Hong Kong. Good option.

PhilippinesThis doesnt seem to be under the control of the hostel, but worth mentioning. The elevator felt like a cable car going up. Dont move when the elevator is moving, stay still. there are residents using the building/elevator as well so it should be safe. walls of elevators are not properly walled up like normal elevators, but rather has plastic coverings. some even had 2x2 wood as wall support. bricks or broken cement are carried on wheel borrows and brought down the elevator as well as there was a construction during my stay. owner/staff may transfer your stuff from one bed/room to another bed/room if the situation calls for it even if you're not there. i believe there were 10 backpackers who came in so they had to transfer my stuff while i was out. you will share a bed out of 2, 3 layered bunk beds which totals to 6 guests per room(as seen in pics), each bed has curtains to give some privacy, top bunk doesnt have curtains anymore. top bunk will have the direct cold wind energy of the airconditioning as well, freezing you into ice cold meat to be defrosted in the morning. even if you're at the middle and bottom bunk you'd still be cold. 1 toilet/shower per room, which is actually pretty clean. 1st room i was in had heater, i was at the bottom bunk 2nd room i was in, i was in the middle bunk, shower didnt have heater, and toilet had a uncovered water closet so you'd have to dunk your fingers in water just to flush the toilet may it be no.1 or 2. you can still come over the 1st room if the toilet is vacant internet was slow my family members was able to book at 'cebu hostel' i suggest you book there instead but didnt have heater and my sister's husband says it smells, if not, cultural crashpad is the next cheapest thing.
The cultural crashpad It may say 13th floor in booking.com but the actual reception area is in 7th floor, then you'd have to go back to 13th floor to actually check in. Just google lens the instructions in the 13th floor door so that you'd know what to do. you can check in exactly 2pm. you can leave your stuff there if you come to HK early prepare to feel like you're in a Jackie Chan movie in a local catch scene, it was bare and the real taste of the hongkong culture.

JapanThe building was pretty run down and the reception/lobby was somewhat difficult to find, as there were several other hostels located in the building. The elevator closest to the lobby was sketchy and got stuck mid floor for a moment, which was pretty disconcerting. We opted for a different elevator for our next ride.
It was cheap for a weekend night, and the room was clean and had a private bathroom. Staff were friendly.

The staff were helpful and able to make my stay convenient. It is pretty much close to the main tourist attractions and MTR. The internet was good at the lobby and reception when you work at night. The bathroom was kept clean.
