Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceBig lines for an old and very busy elevator. Very different kinds of rooms. Our first room had big problems in the toilet and it seemed that it needed an urgent renovation . After three days of complaints and problems with the toilet they finally gave a much better room . The guest house is on the 16th floor in the Chunking Mansion and experience you will remember! We did not regret it .
Clean and central. Very close to metro stations and the Victoria harbour.

United KingdomA bit pricey for very small rooms , it’s just ok if you are planning to sleep there , a bit noisy from the corridors, hairdryer didn’t work in any of 3 our booked rooms . Extra charge for the debit card payments. Hard beds and pillows . Elevator can be a bit crowded .
Central location , would book again . I think size of the property is ok for the Hong Kong . Clean lining and bedding.

Philippines*I booked for a total of 5 rooms months before our trip and on the option it says pay at the property however they charged my card for 2 rooms after booking *during check-in, they charged us extra for cleaning since they said we are staying for a week and should pay for cleaning (isn't cleaning included in the price in the first place?) I wasn't told this in advance *Even after paying the extra for cleaning but they didn't really clean clean the room, they just changed the towels and remove the garbage. They didn't even gave us toilet papers when we ran out, not until I asked them but only gave 1 toilet paper in all 5 rooms. *towels are small *room has no space, hard if you have big luggage *Elevator takes too much time during peak hours
*near train station *Good location *they gave us all 5 rooms together in the same floor *safe place to stay *they provide water for drinking and hot water too

ItalyI like to stay in this hotel in the heart of Hong Kong, perfect for the position and also very next to the metro station. The room is tiny but well equipped with all the necessary. The staff is very kind and you can leave the luggage for a while also after the checkout. The room is very clean. Compared to the medium price of Hong Kong the hotel is very convenient and I will come back for sure.

New ZealandRooms were very small, mind you I guess that's just Hong Kong for you. The beds were very hard, and there were weird looking worm things in my sheets.
Location, cleanliness, and the price was cheap for Hong Kong. The staff were pleasant

Germanyplease be aware that when you check out they might take your phone to leave a good review for themselves on booking! they told me they wanted to check something about my deposit but then tried to leave a 10 star review (in my name) on here instead when I checked out.
the staff was very friendly, towels were exchanged daily and the room was clean! notice that the rooms are really small, so if you’re not comfortable in small spaces, this might not be for you.

United Arab EmiratesThe room was quite cramped and could have been cleaner—there were a few spots that seemed overlooked by housekeeping. The facilities felt a bit dated and worn, with some minor maintenance issues that detracted from the overall experience. Noise was also a drawback, as I could hear guests in neighbouring rooms and in the hallways, making it difficult to fully relax.
Traveller's Hostel was a decent choice for my stay in Hong Kong. The location is quite convenient, close to the MTR and within walking distance to some key areas. The room was small and basic, which was expected for the price, but it could have been cleaner. Some facilities felt a bit worn, and there was occasional noise from neighbouring rooms. The staff were friendly enough but didn’t go out of their way to assist. Overall, it’s okay if you're on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep, but there are likely better options out there in a similar price range.

SwitzerlandThe room didn't has a Locker. I didn't like the fact that the owner with an excuse tried to do the review himself with my phone in Booking putting himself top marks in all categories. Probably if he had not did that little sneaky thing I would have rated the hostel better. But overall the hostel is not bad.
The position is perfect. Near a metrostation that is one of the most important one. Obviusly is not a luxury hotel, but the price/quality it's fair. The place is clean. Rooms and toilet are little but enough to have the primary services.

CanadaDepending what room you book, the room may be smaller than expected as the hostel is better fit for short-term stays. But, if you let staff know ahead of time, this issue can be fixed and you can move into a better room!
I liked that the location of the area was very convenient, as transportation was very accessible, and was nearby Victoria Harbour, just a few blocks down. Our rooms were small and pretty cozy, and sheets were changed daily. Staff cleans the room and places everything back in its original place, which I like so nothing is lost. Staff is also extremely accessible, friendly and will tend to any accommodations needed as long as you communicate (including in directions to different parts of local places/cities).

FranceThe first room's toilet did not work, so we switched rooms. There were many bugs, but I think that is the reality of living in Cheung King Mansion, it is notorious for having bugs. If you want to pay for a budget hotel, this is a good option. It is not luxurious, but it gets the job done.
The value for money is great. You get a room in a great location, TST, so many shops and restaurants, walking distance to the harbour. The room is appropriate value for money. It is enough to fit two people, but a little squishy. The staff were friendly and helpful.
