Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing - everything was great!
The location of the property was great and so close to the old town. Rose was so kind and very welcoming. The jacuzzi and pool was excellent and after a long day sightseeing a very welcome break to relax and cool down. The room was clean. Everyone was very friendly and we felt very welcome throughout our stay.

United KingdomThe hospitality of the staff, the position of the rooms. 5mins from centre. We had a pool which I felt was essential due to the heat. Very friendly atmosphere…
As soon as we arrived the staff were helpful and welcoming. Dino and Rose were lovely. They tried so hard to facilitate out needs and booked restaurants for us. We did have one mishap but it was so funny it added to our holiday. Housekeeping staff were fantastic. We were very central to Split town but also felt like we were in our very own oasis. I would book again and recommend this holiday to couples and groups of friends. Thank you Evala for a lovely holiday.. we will be back….

IrelandThe tiles around the pool area are extremely uneven. They are not level and I would go as far to say they are quiet dangerous. I tripped on the tiles one morning and fell over . I didn't injure myself badly but did end up with a cut to my lip and cut both my knees. The lady who was cleaning the bedrooms and the gentleman who was cleaning the pool at the time were very helpful and got me ice to reduce the swelling. I would strongly advise the owners to address these tiles to prevent any other accidents.
This is just an amazing place to stay Split. We had the superior double room, and it was magnificent. The rooms are large with a queen size bed. The room had everything you could possibly need, even an Alexa for music. The place was spotless and less than 5 minutes walk to the old town. Rose, the receptionist, was amazing and tended to everyone's needs . She couldn't do enough for us. She is an excellent people person and a huge asset to the owners of Evala luxury rooms. There is also another lady who is also called Rose and is married to Dino, and again, a very helpful lady. The pool is amazing. I would highly recommend this place if staying in Split.

United KingdomThe only thing that we didn't like as that the property was unfortunately booked for the last night of our stay in Split so we had 1 less night to enjoy it; however, we were able to leave our bags in a safe space during the day until we were able to check into our other property.
Evala was absolutely fantastic - the location at the edge of the city walls allows you to be right in the heart of the city, or down by the harbour, in minutes, but also allows peace and tranquility should you wish it to lay by the pool and relax. There was also a lovely petit dejeuner each morning with croissants, coffee and orange juice which was an unexpected treat. The room size was more than ample, and the beds & pillows were great allowing for a good nights sleep after a day exploring the city or one of the nearby islands.

Beautiful rooms & wonderful facilities. Excellent location - apartments are an easy walk away from palace. It was our first holiday as a family as we had our baby with us and we were made to feel very welcome.

United KingdomHaving to leave.
We lucked out with this smashing hotel/guest house! What a fantastic find just 2 minutes walk from the Old Town gate, so close to all that Split has to offer but away from the noise. The room was tastefully and beautifully presented with fast wifi, a huge comfortable bed and a pristine en suite shower room. We had an issue which Rose attended to immediately, which we appreciated. All the staff were hard working, really friendly and welcoming. The pool and hot tub are so clean with lots of parasols, garden sofas and loungers. After a hot day sightseeing it was a joy to relax there. There is a supermarket next door and the property is directly opposite the daily market, so great for fresh fruit and other supplies. Highly recommend the fantastic terrace cafe/restaurant at the Museum of Fine Arts for breakfast or lunch - just two minutes walk from Evala.

United KingdomNothing!
A beautifully decorated room with a ridiculously comfy bed. It’s a great location, with only a very short walk to the Old Town. The pool and hot tub were great, and we especially liked that we were allowed to use both as late as 10pm. Really friendly staff (and great recommendations from Rosa), we’d highly recommend staying here.
