Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Not the hostels fault because it’s an island but I found myself using my data as the wifi wasn’t very good. But no big deal :)
The staff were amazing and so accommodating with any needs or questions The beds were so spacious and comfortable with charging ports, a shelf and privacy curtains Facilities were always so clean

the rooms are huge and spacious like I’ve never seen before!! the beds are so comfy and don’t make noise!! you never feel like you are in the room with 20 people!! people hang out together in the lounge area but in the dorms - you don’t hear that! what an amazing place!! great bathrooms too!! lockers!!👏

- not really many showers and it is reaaally humid in there, but thats pretty normal for hostel life - no AC in the rooms or it was not notable for me - the atmosphere is pretty anonymous, but probably always depends on the guest
One of the really good hostel, can def recommend - lots of privacy due to solid bunk beds, curtains, lights and plugs on every bed - big locker - nice kitchen - huge common area - supermarket just around the corner - 10-15 min to old town - free parking garage - quiet at night, as party folks need to move their party to the town from 10 or 11 on - hairdryers are available as well - mostly packed with really young audience, less solo travellers; which is of course fine

A little walk from the oldtown, but it's still located near the centre.
The rooms are big and have plenty of spaces to put your stuff, the common area is right at the center and kitchen is well equipped. Bathrooms are clean and beds are good, there's even curtain in it. Staff are being very helpful.

Towel OK, verging on too small. Practical for laundry purposes I guess.
Stayed in the 4 × 2 bunk room. Bunk beds stable, comfortable with power, small shelf, own light and privacy curtain. Bathrooms clean and contemporary. Nice kitchen and living area.

I found it hard to interact with the people there as a newcomer. If there was a social media group with the people staying there (like a WhatsApp group) it would’ve been better.
The property is clean and not far from the old town (about 15 min by foot). There is a key provided for the locker and a towel.

I didn't like that my vacation days were over and i couldn't stay more.
This is such an awesome idea to make a hostel out of a shopping centre. They have underground parking, lots of showers, toilets, huge strorage lockers, good comfortable beds. Electric sockets and lighting inside bed area. Curtains for bed privacy... And the crowd was fun and multi cultural! This is easily the best hostel i have ever been and it was one of the cheapest in Split

Room was very hot, especially at night. Lock on locker needs to be replaced, as it took effort to lock or unlock.
Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet at night. Location was good for my preferences, which is a bit outside the main center making it a bit more quiet at night.

The water pressure of the showers could improve. I didn't know I had to tell in advance about an early check out (before 8am) so I couldn't validate the parking ticket and had to pay for it, keep it in mind if you bring a car :)
One of the most comfortable beds I've had at a hostel. Rooms are huge but capsules offer privacy enough, and people are very respectful so it isn't noisy at all.

Maybe a bit too noisy, depends on people there but you can hear everything
Really nice stay, people are welcoming and everything was clean. Rooms are big and a real plus to have curtains on your bed and a locker. Not too far from the old town or bus station

The noisiest locker keypads you've ever heard. They beep anytime someone (and remember theres 20 ppl to a room) hits a number in their pass code to open or close it. Plus one of them was running out of battery so it beeped for 2 nights straight because they couldn't replace the battery for some reason.
Bed was clean, showers were hot, great price, 20 min walk from the bus station

The hostel messed up with the stay, we were 5 people booked a 8 people room and wanted to stay in one room. Either they overbooked or something then 2 of us had to shift to 10 people room. The receptionist at that time was really annoying and was not helpful. She checked in someone else after us in our 8 person room. She responded saying I can’t do anything I cannot look etc ext. also women’s washroom was not clean

Lumpy, soft pillows and no hot water for 4 days
Check in easy. Large spacious hostel, although only 1 hob for cooking. Beds comfy and large, but pillows too soft/lumpy. Staff lovely, volunteers only after 2pm, not about a lot. Lockers good size, coded and they do get stuck sometimes! Location ok, 20 min walk from bus station. Showers ok, but I had no hot water for 4 days ( cold November)! But once fixed, plenty of hot water. Nice hostel to stay at.
