No real storage for luggage for people that already checked-out - you just leave it in the lounge there.

Amazingly well located; beds were quite comfortable, lockers were huge and breakfast was quite good.

Splendid! This is the 4th time I stayed here. Cozy beds, welcoming atmosphere. I really liked the room with the curtains on each bed. This is the place where I feel safe to sleep whenever I am in Zagreb. They even do your laundry for extra cost :) THANK YOU!

The entrance and the building seemed a little bit dark and strange, but once I got at the floor where the hostel is everything looked nice, clean and well lit. What helped was reading other people's review in advance which helped me know that the entrance was a little bit hidden.

At first I was skeptical about going to a hostel on my own. However I read about the Main Square Hostel, including reviews and testimonials from people who stayed there & decided I should give it a go for one night. The location was quite easy to find (if you read the info beforehand). When I arrived (quite late, at around 10PM), the staff was very friendly, and the person at the reception offered all the information I needed. I had a bed in a 6 women bedroom and I felt completely safe and comfortable. I got a card to access the room and a key to a locker where I could fit my backpack. The "cubicle" I had was super comfortable and clean and offered me the privacy I needed (because it had a small curtain). It also had enough place for me to store my small stuff (cosmetics, chargers, etc.), it had a socket (so I could charge my phone) and a light too (which I could keep on as much as I needed, it didn't bother anyone because my sleeping space was well delimitated). If you are staying more days I would recommend having a power strip (in case you want to charge more things at the same time). For a longer stay I also recommend having a towel (I think you could ask the reception to give you some but I don't know if it came at an extra fee) and slippers (since the showers are across the hall from the rooms). The shower was clean and it had hot water. If you have long hair you might want to consider a shower cap (since the shower head is fixed on the ceiling) but you can also avoid getting your hair wet since the shower cabin is quite spacious. The hostel had a smoking area, a kitchen (with all of the necessary appliances for basic cooking and keeping food) and even a common room suitable for working remotely. The breakfast was basic, but since it was included in the very good price per night it was enough to get you going.

Just stayed a night on Main Square Hostel but everything was amazing ,friendly staff spacious bathrooms and areas to relax .The rooms also with the curtains gave me a sense of privacy .Free breakfast also a huge benefit.Would recommend this to anyone , probably one of the best hostels i have ever been

was a little hot in the rooms. There was an aircon but I don’t think it was on. however there were windows which helped cool it down a bit.

Great facilities, comfortable and private beds with space to put your things. lockers were very big which was great for backpacking. the staff were also really nice and at the time I booked they celebrated their anniversary so had free drinks and snacks. they also had a group chat and had a few events and social things going on basically every day.

The staff member named Goran who checked me in was very rude to me. I arrived early at 7am and I approached the guy which I forgot the name was a bit of nice, although he is not good in customer service, he helped me by allowing me to stay in the common area, used the toilet to refresh and even let me leave my bag. But when I backed for check in time, the guy named Goran was talking to me in a rude way. Also the breakfast is not that good, only bread and spread. Toilet is only 1 for me with 2 showers for the entire guests. There is not enough privacy for bed.

The mattress on bed was dirty, no under blanket, no duvet cover so guess duvet was washed between customers. Breakfast supplies need to be topped up regularly. Smell of weed and smoke coming up stairs when you walk down. Lift not working. Being charged local taxes after arriving when booking states price includes taxes and charges. There is no mention of any other taxes to pay on booking.

The bathroom was dank, but they cleaned it throughout the day. I had the room next to the washer/dryer (see photo). Unfortunately, it was rainy in Zagreb , which forced me to stay in most of the day. From the time I checked in the afternoon before until I checked out, those machines were constantly running. Do you know how annoying it is to hear clothes tumbling in a dryer or the 'music' that the machines play when they're done. Throughout the day, I was ok with it because, well, they gotta do their laundry. BUT to hear it 2 nights in a row, nope, that's ridiculous.

GREAT location The bed (or cubicle) gave a lot of privacy. Curtains would've been helpful as well because being in the top bunk, the lights from the room make it hard to sleep when others are using the lights. Either way, it offers more privacy than the traditional bunk bed

The cleanliness of the common toilet and shower room needed improvement. When I arrived (possibly because of the late timing as well), the floor was littered with small pieces of tissue papers, and the mats outside the bathroom were also in a mess 🙁 I booked a 6-bed dormitory room and it was not soundproof enough to block the sound from the street outside, it could be hard for some light sleepers to call asleep.

It is very near to the main square station. They provided a variety of food for breakfast, which is good enough for me as a vegan (bread, jam, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, banana). It is possible to store luggage there after checking out, they will place at a corner of the common area near the reception.

I have nothing to complain.

The hostel is very good, organized, clean, spacious, great location. The common area is large, complete and comfortable. Each bed has its own socket and individual light, it is possible to maintain privacy, each bed has its own locker. The staff is very kind, nice, proactive and helpful, especially Andrija.
