Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Bathroom and rooms/lockers are not very clean, could do better was a bit hard to find the entrance, took me 10+ minutes to be able to find it

It was quite cold at night. On 2nd day one guy joined us (4 people room) and was disrupting our sleep. I had to call for the reception twice to calm him down.

The hostel is ideally located, in Zagreb's main square. The main streets are also right down the stairs. The beds are in little compartments with curtains, which is great for privacy. The staff is very helpful.

It was a little bit loud in the hallway when I wanted to sleep.
I really liked the concept of the beds and having your own space to yourself without having to directly see anyone else. It would kind of feel like having your own room.

The bed design is in long shape, need to crawl into the bed. Not a big issue, just slightly uncomfortable.
Easily accessible by tram. The direction to the hostel could be slightly improved as it was a bit difficult to find the place. Can include the pharmacy name which is next to the alley / passage to the hostel.

location is in the middle of zagreb center. when you get out off hostel you are at the center. the room was clean. beds are private and have curtain

Showers could be cleaner. The lockers being made out of metal are very noisy, which could bother people still sleeping. Towels are not for free.
Privacy provided by the curtains at the beds. Power outlet, individual lights for each bed. Big lockers available for each guest. Free breakfast and common room to share with other guests.

I only have 2 things to mention: First the entrance of the hostel building really stinks, it’s definitely really disturbing, if you imagine that this the first thing you experience when you arrive. The second thing is that even though the common room is well equipped with beer pong tables, TV, foosball, darts, many of these are missing some main parts. For example: the darts are broken, and the foosball doesn’t have the ball.
The property was insanely amazing if we compare to any other hostel: cheap, at a perfect location, clean, stylish, with kind 0-24 receptionists. The breakfast was beyond our expectations, you get plenty of choices to eat. You are able to cook as well, the kitchen is well equipped. Beside this you have a great common room with games, and a nice terrace with heaters, blankets, and cute lighting, gives you really cozy vibe. Hats down for the beds design. Beside the cool look it gives you, maximal privacy even though you are sleeping with x amount of people.

It was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It's a clean hostel where you can stay safely. It's within walking distance of all the tourist attractions in the city center. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Iresha helped us with every problem, she's very patient and does her job very well. I've stayed in a hostel many times before. But I can say that this hostel is the best. Thank you very much.

The beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was not the best.. it could be improved by simply adding fresh bred.
The location is great, right in the center and within walking distance to many main attractions.

We visit hostel in December and heating in the hostel is a little bit poor. The room was a little bit cold and the kitchen area is cold. So when you are going to have breakfast you should bring your jacket or coat.
Location was very good and nice, hostel is based in center of the city and everything that you need is near by. Breakfast is very nice and has everything that you need - fruits, cereals, stuff for sandwich, milk, coffee
