The appartment is brand new with amazing apliances. It was clean and neat, with amazing pillows and bedding. The air conditioning is top-notch.

I could not turn the ar-conditioner one. Not sure if it was faulty or if I was doing something wrong. It wasn't the worst, though, as the weather was still pleasant, however, it would have been a big issue during summer peak season. The microwave was also not working (would turn on but not heat the food).

The location and the room are absolutely fantastic. The view from the room was not facing the beach, but still very nice. Can't recommend enough.

Free parking was further the road, but you have to be lucky to find free spot, otherwise keep car at shopping center parking lot

Location is perfect: at the heart of Makarska. The room was beautiful, we had coffee machine, mini-kitchen inside a room. The host was helpful. Did not expect such great aprtment. The value was great! Recommend

Host messaged us privately asking us to cancel our booking through booking.com and offered us to pay less in cash. This was really sketchy and made us very anxious about our stay since our booking stated that is is non-refundable. We booked a room with a sea and mountain view but we were on the first floor and there were lots of trees in the way of our view so the view was disappointing. We only had sheets on the bed with no duvet or blankets so we were quite cold throughout the night and had to use the sheet from the single bed to try and add an extra layer.

Hotel room was big, clean and modern, and we had a double bed and a single bed. It also had a balcony. Air con worked.

We could not find the place! There was no sign saying Markaska City Bay Apartments anywhere. The information provided to booking.com does not explain where to go. We asked at a nearby bar where we were told, “It’s behind.” I tried as they suggested and ended up asking a couple of local lads who pointed me to an office of sorts where I found a woman who was not at all interested that we’d spent almost an hour trying to find the place. She lead me to the apartment in the building opposite her office. There was no bench space to prepare a meal so we didn’t cook. The coffee machine which works well is too large for the space. The air conditioner would only run if the windows were closed, which included the fan in the air conditioner so the room became stuffy quite quickly. Parking in front of the building is expensive after June 1st. from 6am -2am €4 per hour, OUCH! Luckily we found a spot in the side street almost under the apartment window. The info said “Park View”, however it was difficult to move the curtains sufficiently to look out to the park.

The apartment is in a beautiful location, close to the bay. The room is reached either by stairs or elevator. The refrigerator has a large freezer which was brilliant but that was the only plus of the kitchen. The bed was firm, however, the only covering we could find was a doona cover, no doona. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. Wifi worked well.
