Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaThe lockers are gigantic, but very uncomfortable cause they are high, and you cannot reach them properly. The common area is very small.
Good wifi. They give me a towel. Comfy mattress. The lockers are gigantic, but very uncomfortable cause they are high, and I am not that tall.. so I cannot really take advantage of it. The kitchen is small, but everything works

United StatesOne shower and sink each for male and females feels a bit small, not having staff at desk 24/7 can be an issue with any mishaps (one person accidentally locked out of their room, for example)
Spacious rooms, stocked kitchen utensils and items, patios for rooms, extremely friendly staff that was ready to give suggestions and help out wherever possible

SwedenI assume I booked a girls room but there was a man joining us 5 other girls in the room. Quite strange because I wasn’t feeling as comfortable as I wished I would like to do. But maybe that was a one in a while happening matter.
The loved the location, it is very close to the heart area of Split! I also enjoyed the staff and the cleanness of the facility.

BrazilQuiet, convenient, good location and friendly staff. Felt like a shared flat with outgoing colleagues. A good find in the midst of hostels filled with 20 year olds sharing big rooms and many bunk beds.

CanadaBathrooms not clean. Showers smell. No staff on site after 5 pm so there are people making noise till 12 and therefore nobody is around to enforce “quiet time” “Stove” has no markers so many people couldn’t get it to work. Fridge is like a bar fridge. Because of these reasons - value for money is not there. Sorry I have to justify my rating .
Rooms were spacious and beds good. Balcony attached to room. Great location Provide lots of towels Helped me change dates of stay

United KingdomThe main issue I had during my stay is related to the bathroom situation. The shower head had a stand, but the thread had gone meaning the stand would just fall down. This means you have to hold the head when showering. There is also no lock on the shower door. May be more relating to the guests staying, however there were times when all of the hooks were taken so there would be no where to put your towel when having a shower. There is also lots of bathroom items (toothbrushes, contact lense solutions, shower gel, shampoo) left in the area. It wasn't too bad for me personally and I had no issues, but there is only one male shower and I could forsee some issues in peak season. There is also some noise from the outside coming into the room, didn't affect me too much as I wear ear plugs, however, if I didn't wear these could be issues with sleep. I was also staying in a room which you had to go through another room to enter, so when entering and leaving it did feel a little awkward when people were sleeping as the doors also made a bit of noise when closing. The social area/kitchen isn't the biggest.
The owner and her team are very nice and makes you feel at home. I got some very good recommendations on what to do during my stay, and also gave information regarding travel. They Will ensure that you will have a nice stay. There are also brochures and maps provided to give you an idea of what to do in the area. The hostel also has links with other day trips (which I didn't take advantage of), for example Krka, which is also very useful. Beds were good with their own shelves and had a curtain to have some privacy. Bedrooms were clean. There are good sizes lockers to place valuables.

GermanyI stayed in a room, whose entry was through another 6 bed dorm. Everytime had to come to kitchen or washroom had to lock unlock 2 door locks. The shower didn't have a lock, which also irked me a bit.
The host is really nice. Helped me with recommendations and suggestions for things to do around. The balcony is really nice. Nest place to have your breakfast.

CanadaThe mattresses were not the most comfortable. Also the hostel was a bit small for me, I think it has only three or four rooms so the vibe was ok, but not super social.
Quiet and cozy hostel. Probably had the best bed set up I have seen in a hostel in Croatia; big lockers, wooden bed frames with built in shelves and good curtains. Location was great, supermarket around the corner and walking distance to the center without being in the busy area. Would definitely recommend.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThere's only one thing that I didn't like and that is the instructions about how to enter the main door weren't clearly said in the message that I received. It took me some time to understand how to enter the building.

United KingdomNot much, the towels weren't particularly good (microfiber) and the shower door wouldn't lock but it was easy to indicate that it was in use and I felt safe that nobody would get in while I was there (would still rather have a lock though).
The staff were really nice and willing to help us with everything we needed during our short stay, even going so far as to offer us some free extra sunscreen that they had once we mentioned we didn't have any with us at the moment. All the rooms and bathrooms were really clean and the location is really convenient, being close enough to the old town that you can easily walk there at any moment. The lockers we were given to keep our bags were very big and looked secure.

United KingdomAn option for female-only dorm rooms would have been good. The price was very high for a dorm room in a hostel; however, this is the norm in Croatia nowadays and prices fluctuate throughout the year.

New ZealandBathrooms could’ve been cleaner. The women’s shower flooded one day while I was there but was quick to be cleaned up the next morning. Showers could be tidier. Nice touch is providing sanitary items for women’s toilets.
Good location, just on the edge of the old town. 10-15 walk to the Riva/bus stop/port. Comfortable beds and large lockers, also privacy curtain for each bed.
