Wanted to watch tv but no English channels and no luck connecting phone to tv - apparently doesn’t work with iPhones which was a bit frustrating!

The worse part of the hotel was the relation with the reception. I received prior arrival an email to complete my check-in online to reduce the time spent for this at the reception desk, and since I had a very tight schedule that evening, I have done it. When we arrived there was a very large group and both the girls from the reception were dealing with this. Initially, it seemed ok for me because I thought that it cannot take more than 15 minutes. But after 40 minutes we were still there, the girls seemed disoriented and lost and I had to step in and insist several times to solve the problem. I never stood that much time for check-in in a hotel especially when the check-in online was already made and in theory, I just needed the key for our rooms. In other places in the world usually, reception is organized in such a manner that one or two of the receptionists are dealing with the groups and the other/others are dealing with the individual clients that arrive meanwhile. Otherwise, things are happening as in our case: we had to stay one hour for one-minute of real interaction with the receptionist. This event kind of ruined our experience despite the fact that the hotel itself is very nice in all senses.

The hotel is very nice, located in the centre of Budapest; the rooms are spacious and modern decorated. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Overall the hotel is a nice choice for spending a couple of days in the city.

Perhaps sound isolation could be a bit better. One day we asked for early breakfast to take away, but somehow they forgot to prepare it, but anyhow its nothing, compare to all good things that hotel offered.

We stayed there for 4 nights and it was absolutely amazing! Location is just perfect, we even did not use any public transport except electronic scooters just for fun. We had deluxe room with balcony and it was perfect! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our favourite thing was 3 pillows for each of us, just like in home :) and of course THE BREAKFAST - excellent! For sure we will return!

the location to hang the jacket and leave your shoes is in front of the washing basin and next to toilet. I don’t like the idea of leaving the washing basin in the room.

the air conditioning in the room didn’t work. the room was always at least 24 degrees, it was difficult to sleep as it was too hot but if we opened the window it was very noisy all night.

Although we had already informed the hotel that we were there to celebrate my birthday, this wasn't taken into consideration at any moment.

We had a wonderful time in Barceló! The room is spacious and tidy, the bed/pillows were super comfy and the amenities in the room were great. The hotel is centrally located to many hotspots in the city, public transportation and convenience stores.
