Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWe didn't like that we waited for about half an hour for the hosts to prepare our room and if we arrived two hours after the possible entry, then we didn't get the room we reserved, there was no TV in it and if it was in the pictures, the bathroom is not our own but we shared it with other rooms, there was no soundproofing even if it was stated that there was. At the end, the housekeeper came and asked us to leave the room around 10:00 a.m., and if the check-out period is specified, the departure period is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ,the housekeeper supposedly doesn't know English at all, but she knows how to say that parking is additionally charged for 5 e in the yard. Avoid this accommodation
It's warm.

AustriaIt's hard to find the right words. The price/performance ratio is terrible (~14700HUF/night!),even the half would be too expensive. As soon as I arrived I wanted to call booking.com,as I had discussed with them in advance, based on my suspicion, but I couldn't reach anyone&was too tired after my journey, had no energy for stress. The next day I had somehow come to terms with it&wanted to spend my time better than with anger&resentment. It was probably part of the adventure&simply a bad choice - worn carpet in the (attic) room had probably never been vacuumed, let alone wet cleaned, had only been walked on with street shoes for years, full of dirt, stains&coarse dirt (screws,a plug,Rose thorns...) (all other rooms had smooth floors for proper cleaning&even mopping, but they were all occupied by native speakers: what a coincidence) - no air conditioning as advertised, not even a cheap fan (other rooms had one of course) - walls were "decorated" with stains, poorly painted&repaired - skylight was dirty with free cobwebs from generations - old cupboards had sand residue on them&had probably never been cleaned - highlight among all this was the old bed with a destroyed slatted frame&an old, stained mattress that was completely sagging (there was a fresh sheet that you could pull over yourself (no problem with that!) and a large towel that smelled fresh, but it had stains too - It was scorching hot, just okay at night when you let the window open widely, but then you had to deal with mosquitoes because there was only one grill in the bathroom, which was completely inadequate - bathroom was tiny, used by everyone, there was sometimes rubbish lying around, showers were taken in the tub, where laundry was also washed;I also enjoyed the extremely loose toilet lid&there was an uninviting smell at times;the door was lockable with a cheap bolt from the hardware store, not a key, so it was correspondingly loud ...
The advantage was that you had peace and quiet, apart from the surrounding dogs, which were lively barkers, especially at night and early mornings. You could come and go as you wanted, nobody cared. There were two codes, one for the gate, one for the door. But that´s about it when it comes to advantages. And that should be natural anyway. I enjoy all the friendly replies of the owner here on this side so I already am curious and can´t wait for his reacting to my explanations. Btw, Budapest is a beautiful and lively city!
