Very nice place and very close to subway, tram and buse stops. If you like walking you can easily walk to some of the famous landmarks of Budapest such as the National Museum, the Cathedral, the Jewish Synagogue etc. The staff was very helpful and nice and the place was very tidy and clean. The only thing I didn't like were the beds. They were metal and whenever someone would climb the steps to the top bunk or move the bed would make a sound. Other that that everything else was great and I definitely recommend it!!!

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Although the room and bed are not new, but this only adds to the atmosphere. The main thing is that it is clean, especially the linen. The end of March, but the room and bathroom are warm, the radiators work, which was very important for me, as a cold person.

A thing to keep in mind is that it is on the 4th floor which means you will either end up climbing a lot of stairs or using an old elevator to get to the hostel, which is not ideal. However, the place and hostel itself make up for it!

Amazing place to stay, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were even as nice to let me store my luggage and make use of the common areas before and after checkout.

I would improve the beds which are old and squeaky and certainly for some people might be difficult to climb. Not for me though.

Cozy, homey and peaceful house in a really nice area of Budapest. The hostel brings relaxing vibes and everyone staying there understands the energy. Perfect place for a peaceful stay and meet other like-minded people.

Staying at this hostel was truly an exceptional experience—one of the best hostels I've ever been to. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring. The rooms are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged to ensure maximum comfort. One of the standout features is the hostel’s lobby—a beautifully designed and cozy common area that exudes warmth. Whether you want to read a book, work on your laptop, or simply relax, the ambiance makes you feel completely at ease. Moreover, beyond the physical aspects, what truly makes this hostel shine is the overall welcoming and homely vibe. A huge shout-out to Rebecca, she went above and beyond to help me resolve a challenging situation that was completely outside of her responsibilities. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to assist made all the difference. Truly grateful for her help, she’s an absolute gem.

The place was super cozy and comfortable. And as a person with an eye for beauty, the interior was amazing, so many details and things that take you back in time. I felt like I returned to my very early childhood and it brought a nice feeling. It genuinely felt like a home I would want to return to. Everything was clean, the kitchen very well equipped and the common area perfect for both relaxing and working. The dorm room was wonderful too, I liked the view from the window. It was a little bit cold at night for me but nothing a sweater could not fix. The bathrooms were also clean and nice. After a long day, taking a shower there felt like heaven, really. The staff was wonderful, acommodating and friendly. Each person felt like a real personality you could trust, not just a worker that is there to answer your questions dryly. People who stayed there also seemed like the ones that are there because they want to be there. Friendly and communicative. Sending lots of love and thanks, you are doing a great job. My stay in Budapest was so nice because of you!

I loved everything about this hostel! It has such a cozy and homey vibe, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Budapest. The entire space is super clean and spacious, which adds to the comfort. But the best part for me was the cozy common area, where you can unwind and smoke comfortably with the window open. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home, and I’d definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect

Our stay at Das Nest hostel has been amazing. Everything there is so perfect and cozy, we loved the common areas, the people, and the staff. Also the location is very central and near nightlife places yet calm and not noisy. Will definitely come back, thanks for all <3 <3 <3

The downsides are only two: 1 - beds are extremelly squeaky, so you hear every single movement of your roomates and yourself. Not recommended if you are a light sleeper (which I'm not, and nevertheless I was constantly woken up by the noise). 2 - the temperature in the hostel is a bit colder that I would like (I went during winter); sometimes the bedroom got chilly and heating wasn't very strong, but they gave me an extra blanquet for that.

What impressed me the most was how clean and well kept everything was. I was there for 4 days and the toilets were ALWAYS clean. Shower was excellent both in water pressure and temperature. The kitchen was also kept clean and organised. Location of the hostel is perfect, withing walking distance to the center and near a metro station. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The ambience is quiet and relaxed.

Very cozy and quiet place, near to all the bars and restaurants. Bus and metro lines were very close. Also a 10 minute walk from where you depart the airport bus.

The layout is open-plan, so the smoking area isn’t separate from the kitchen / living room.

Friendly staff, incredible location. Everything on the doorstep. After a night out at the ruin bars, it was a 5 min walk back. No noise from the street. The building is characterful, including the lift :) Shower was hot and powerful.

Such a cool site. The main area with kitchen, lounge, dining table, was welcoming, warm and comfortable. Staff were kind, helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Towels offered for free and a load of washing done for me in one day for just €5, so good! It was always warm in my room, which was important with temps of -4 at night and -2 in the day! I liked that I could be in a female only dorm room. There were also shelves for my things and a lockable box for my bag. Walking back down to the river was about 25 min. I'd stay here again.

The hostel has a chill vibe. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Nice touch is that you can grind your own coffee in the morning. The location is excellent. The receptionist Mia was friendly and welcoming.

The kitchen was amazing. So beautiful and well equipped. I was also impressed by how clean and maintained the place was. I saw the staff clean continuously for the 3 days when I stayed there. The location is central and can't get any better. I had a lovely stay and was also surprised at how respectful other people were.
