Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Slovakia- under my room there was a little bit noisy air conditioning running 24/7, but it doesn't interrupt my sleeping - sometimes I could hear the sounds from neighbouring rooms - pillow was not filled so much, I had to fold it multiple times to have something stiffer under my head - missing lamp next to my bed (on the other side, it was present)
- good position in the wider city center and railway stations Keleti or Zugló (15 min. walk) - good quality to price ratio - garbage bin was cleaned daily, shared toilets and bathrooms were in general clean - glasses and empty jar for water were really helpful for me

United KingdomThe coffee machine, although not expensive, gave out a miniscule amount of coffee for the money.
Have stayed and reported on this accomodation several times. On my first visit this year found that premises had been re-decorated, new sanitary ware, showers, and tiling, and light sensors. Everything, including bedding and towels, was sparkling white and clean. This remains totally basic accommodation with no hint of luxury, but cheap, very clean place to stay, in an excellent location near to main railway station and on numerous bus routes with easy access to centre. Also convenient 24 hour reception.

United KingdomArrived to find a 'back soon' notice in reception and waited 10 minutes. No allowance was made for age, and the unhelpful receptionist, having seen from my passport that I was in my late 80's, nevertheless allocated me a room on the top (3rd) floor. There is no lift and the subsequent 58 step climb with luggage left me struggling for breath and a racing heart beat!
Totally basic accommodation, no t.v. or carpets and not a hint of luxury except for a bedside light.. Sparkling white clean bedding and towel, comfortable bed, and warm even on my mid-winter stay. The two shower and w.c. washroom and wash basin and w.c. room for men, with the same for women on each of the 12 room floors was not a problem. Coffee machine in reception. Excellent position just two stops up from the main Keleti rail station. NOTE: although several bus routes pass only bus numbers 5, 7, 110, and 112 stop at Chazar A UT and then only if they do not have an 'E' suffix.

New ZealandI wish breakfast would become available for all guests again.
I returned to Dominik Panzió after some years and was happy to see the street has not changed much and it's still very pleasant. It was good to see the place underwent improvements like the refurbished bathrooms but kept its modesty and purpose. It was great to see staff at the reception and the keys being kept there the classic way. Cold drinks can be bought at the reception and there is a hot-drink vending machine in the hallway. Wifi was very good. I like the early check-in time. For those using public transport - the proximity of a bus stop is great, especially in winter time.

TurkeyIt would have been great to have a small mirror in the room, but other than that, it was very good in terms of price-performance.
I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is right in front of the bus stops and very convenient. There is almost no noise during the day or night, so you can get a good night's sleep. The shared toilet and bathroom were very clean, and the room was clean as well. I had reserved a single-bed room, but luckily, my room had 3 beds.

The staff were helpful and the location is good. It's easy to navigate around Budapest with the help of public transportation. I believe it's an ideal deal for a short trip of a day or two in Budapest.

United KingdomThe place is very basic. It meets requirements, but very basic. The room is bland with plain white walls and a tiny window, almost like a prison cell. There is no elevator and its a huge building, depending on where your room is it could be a long walk. You have to walk the whole corridor to get to the toilet
Wifi is excellent, shower/toilet room is very modern and the showers are great. Room is very clean and bed is comfy. Staff was friendly and accomodating. You can check out whenever you want desk is open 24/7.
