Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI could not find the written name of the hostel on the front door or around the entrance in the stairways.
The place seemed safe. The fridge etc. I got a key for free and I could lock my stuff. Because of the one night stay I did not have to pay a deposit for the safe storage.

SpainI found it difficult to reach since there is no nameplate outside there so that people can recognise. Its real name inside is Babylon.
Location of the landmarks where people can reach easily.its not bad if you consider just staying at night and eager just to roam outside.

AustraliaVery cramped lots of beds in tiny space also only very minimal toilets/bathrooms so sometimes you need to wait. Staff took my towel which was hanging on the bed and was never found again.
Right next to the centre of the city literally 100m from St Stephens basilica, cant ask for a better location.

UkraineIt's almost impossible to find the hostel as it is called Babylon in really.
Almost in the heart of Budapest, near St. Ishtvan basilica. Stunning old building. Very close to shuttle bus station. Two bedrooms and two toilets is a great pro.

PhilippinesToo crowded, looks messy and unkept. Staffs were nice but quite confusing as you cannot distinguished who is who (staff). The beds produce a quirky sounds and some tenants weren’t considerate enough to close their bedroom or toilet doors slowly w/ respect to the other tenants.
In the heart of the city center. Shops and restaurants just right your doorsteps.

ItalyOk if you need to spend one night to catch the airport shuttle early, but I wouldn't stay longer. It's messy and has too many beds crammed in a small space - it's an apartment-turned-hostel without comfortable common areas. The guy covering the night shift was yelling as he chatted with a friend while people tried to sleep in the next room, didn't keep it down even after being told.
Perfect position just a few minutes' walk from the airport shuttle stop

FinlandLoud at night. People kept disturbing others‘ sleep every five minutes. Left the doors open and started discussing loudly. I went to shut the door, soon it was open again with loud talking. Sometimes they even put the lights on to the sleeping room and started to talk about the beds and people sleeping in them. Linen were itchy, probably some horrible detergent or maybe even lice. I have red spots all over after a night in there. Not enough sockets near the beds.
Nice atmosphere, good art, has a kitchen. Very nice staff. Great location. Very popular, full house all the time.

FranceBut some people are not sociable enough for hostels, specially those anglo-saxon nomads traveling by plane who unfortunately invade this kind of cosy places nowadays.
The receptionnist answered to me very fast when I asked about my late arriving and kindly prepared everything for me. The building and flat are very nice. The kitchen has a lot of tools. Bathrooms are comfortable.

ItalyThere wasn't a curtain on the windows in the bedroom. The door of the bedroom is too close to two beds and when someone opens it, it hurts the bed and it could be a bother for who is sleeping. But these are not big problems.
The receptionists are very polite and available. The hostel is really clean, it is also really near the center. There is the possibility to have a locker and the keys of the hostel if you want to access after 11pm after the reception close.

IsraelThe POS-terminal doesn't work, they send you to the bank to exchange money. Put a folding bed - more people in the room than advertised. Very hot and smelly in the room. Only 2 bathrooms. The windows face a noisy street.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They let me leave my luggage after I checked out. Clean. A kitchen where you can cook. An old beautiful building.

ItalyThe problem of this place is that in order to access the whole bulding and then to go to the hostel there are two doors in the main road and one big door behind . The door code on the street is only for one door of the main road and the code was not working at all, tried also on the other doors. Therefore if every door is closed (especially the big door behind), you risk to be stuck outside as it happened to us. We were stuck outside after late night out and we stayed until 5 am outside, we tried to call anyone in the stuff or ringing but none was there as early morning. The only solution found after was to access the building through a kebab place which one of its doors goes inside the whole building. They need to absolutely fix that issue for the code or to find an alternative! In addition to the "funny" trouble , the door to access after the hostel if closed from inside the key cannot open it. Fortunately someone was awake and opened for us.
Good Hostel in general. We stayed 3 nights and we took the private room which was good , and private bathroom (outside the room) was very clean. Position of the hostel in the city centre is perfect. Some things such as towel you need to pay a part if you want. Wifi present in the building. Overall satisfied.
