Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It was first time ever that I stayed in the hostel, so I have nothing to compare to. And as I understood it is a party hostel, so can't complain about noise if you want to go to sleep early. Earplugs worked perfectly! Hopefully there will be more and more people who quit smoking as this time it was like a nightmare – so many people are smoking everywhere. Fortunately I had a room where smoking is not allowed.
Price is extremely affordable and location is wonderful.

there was no one to check me in. I wrote them my arrival time in advance because it was outside of their check in time and they told me that they will check me in when I arrive. but when I arrived, no one picked the phone. no one was there. stressful night. if you are arriving outside of check in time, book another hostel. here is not reliable about it.

Nothing that really caught my eye. A very good hostel on a good location.
Great location, very helpful staff (even when I booked the wrong date they accepted my reservation), lots of people to meet. Also great party place on the ground floor :) Perfect location to visit most of Budapest's sights while walking or scootering.

Place was not clean, loud music from bar downstairs, lack of any kitchen utensils, stuff not trained properly and rude. Just avoid completely if possible. Wanted to charge for towels and lock for locker.

The hostel is above a pub disco whic is extremely loud impossible to sleep. If you are there to have only parties than is ok otherwise no The elderly Hungarian lady (cleaning stuff ??) Was more than rude, uneducated... Treated us and other guests like we were a peace of sht.

the reception is open till 9pm ,thats stupid,my student card is still there since i leave earlier and none give me that back 🥹. close to my bed there were bottle or beers open so nasty.

The staff was really nice and helpful. The location was really good if you like to go out, also, it was kinda close to some tourist destinations. The price was far away good.

Can't Sleep until after 3am cuz of the super loud music I have no words to describe how horrible this darn place is. I been traveling for nearly 7 years and been in many hostels in many different countries 😳 . Now your choice another word don't stay there even though is cheap.

The room 5 was honestly disgusting and dirty. It smelled bad. I slept on a bed just next to the door so i was waken up everytime someone would come in. There is a bar just behind the hostel and the room was on the balcony so ofcourse it was super loud. And even if they tried to be nice, the staff didnt speak well english so it was hard to communicate and so they didnt manage to moove me in a room where i had friends and where a bed was available. I am not used to put bad comments and i dont like to do this, but this one deserved it.
Let's say the hostel was next to bars and clubs so it was nice, well placed

I don’t even know where to start, if you value ANY amount of sleep or privacy i really wouldn’t recommend going here, as you literally live inside of a bar(sometimes even with a liveband). The air in the rooms was so bad as the windows don’t open towards the outside but the bar, so each night you had the choice to either feel like you suffocate or feel like you go deaf🤡
there are some really great bars and cafes around
