no staff ever seen, there is a reception but self check-in only. zero hostel vibe, more like a shared apartment. no other guests seen, only heard, when they used/went to the bathroom which was right next to the room. doors really noisy

Just furniture and equipment would be newer. It looks like real/punk low cost hostel. I understand that conditions corresponds to kind and working style of this hostel.

Location on Kiraly utca seems to be not comfortable with respect to many drinking people on the street and too much loud. But these hostel offers quiet oasis in the middle of party street. Furniture and even everything is almost by do it yourself style, but everything works. Especially air condition in summer was lovely. Towel to use for free was pleasant benefit. Room and bed was clear. Friendly stuff.

The building itself feels like it's going to fall down. The hostel is on the third floor with no fire escape and people routinely smoking on the terrace. We met no staff at all during our stay. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and one of the two showers was broken. There are no lockers for leaving your bags in after check out.

Excellent location, secure pin code for entry into the building and the hostel. The room itself was lovely.

The location was very difficult to find as there is no signage anywhere.

The AC in the bed was needed, we were given towels also. The host provided us with great details about getting into/out of the hostel (codes etc). Kitchen facilities were adequate. Our room was a good size and the bed linen/toilets were clean. Rooftop terrace was a nice plus also.

The facility wasn't cleaned once during the whole week of our stay. Housekeeping only came to refill the toilet paper. The towels/ carpets in front of the showers were soaking wet. A lot of the less used dishes (especially the pots) had flies in them. There was mildew inside the dishwasher.

Location was great, easy check-in and out.

Stairwell up from the street was very dusty and took a bit of time to locate light switches (I didn't use the lift because I rarely do but the sign about getting stuck if you don't close the door properly was a bit off-putting anyway.) The combination of duvet cases with blankets was not the best.

Quite central with good self catering facilities, a pleasant shared area, cheery decor and adequate heating. A sofa in the room is always great, and the desk with light was very welcome too.

There was some room for improvement. 1) my email confirmation had the wrong name. 2) there are two locations, so, our email should have been more clear to avoid confusion. 3) the electrical fuses were off when we arrived and we had to find the fusebox and flip switches, and still could not get all to work until the owner came next day. 4) there was plaster dust in the space from renovations in the bathroom. 5) blankets were very small and thin. Still was a great stay and it is understandable that over the Christmas holiday no one checked our room before we arrived, but perhaps they should correct for next time. This space has so so much potential they can correct and make it perfect.

Ultimately it was a beautiful room in a great location for a good price. Large and full of privacy.

They did not have any toiletries in place. The location was a bit spooky - inside a desolate building.

No staff while we were there (due to holidays maybe?) which meant the bathrooms weren’t cleaned the entire stay and ended up quite filthy. The shower isn’t good. It is a bit hard to find and hadn’t received check in information before we arrived so had to message the hostel to give us the door code.

Firstly, when I arrived at this hostel, there was no person at the reception, which made me confused a bit. At the table of the reception, there was a key of my room and there was no explanation about checking in and out so on. secondarily, there were no light at the stairs to the third floor, the hostel, which was really scary at night

I like that this hostel was mostly very clean and has kitchen.
