    “I had a wonderful stay at Kareem Syariah Hostel. The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were very friendly and easy to deal with, making my stay even more comfortable. The hostel provides an iron and ironing board, which is a great convenience for a solo traveler like me — no need to bring my own! Despite having shared bathrooms, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained and spotless they were. The hostel also offers a designated space for prayer, and there is even enough room inside the accommodation for solat, making it an excellent choice for Muslim travelers. The location is also a major plus! It is conveniently situated near Plaza Bukittinggi, and through the back entrance, you can easily access Jam Gadang from the front. Overall, my experience at Kareem Syariah Hostel was fantastic, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!”

    “A decent stay, the cottages are really nice from the outside. The inside looks like it could use a little upgrade. The shower was hot which was nice. The location is close to the canyon but an uphill walk to get to the city centre”

    “Beautifully designed imitation Minkabau houses set in a stunning vista surrounded by rice paddies. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bed. The Padi Ecolodge is small and compact with seating for about 20 in the attached restaurant. Breakfast was good with a wide choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The internet worked ok and we booked a scooter through the hotel.”

    “The bed mattresses are like fluffy marshmallows. The place is secluded but if you need to get anything to eat, the hotel cafe is there for you. The staff are superb, friendly and professional. The place is quiet at night and very relaxing. There are hardly any bugs. I sleep better here than at home!”
