Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesPretty much everything was great; the only comment is the plants around the pool are beautiful and lush but made it difficult to get sun. There were mosquitoes if you were on the balcony or the restaurant. The staff supplied bug spray so it was ok.
Breakfast was fantastic, something we looked forward to every morning. The food and service were great and we enjoyed the fruit and Balinese cakes.

United KingdomAs mentioned above, because the hotel is in a busy area there are lots of restaurants around. A lot of them have live music playing every night until around 10:30pm, so if you are an early sleeper you should be aware that you will hear this music in your rooms in the evening. It didn't affect our stay too much because we usually go to sleep quite late, but if you want an oasis of peace and quiet 27/7 this might not be the place for you. The hotel does have a pool but it's quite small. Also, because the courtyard has a lot of vegetation there is not enough sun coming through so if you want to sunbathe you might have a problem finding a chair that is not in the shade.
Many thanks to the staff, especially Adi and Ratna, who made our stay such a pleasure. Adi also took us on a day trip around Ubud and was very friendly and patient with us. We were never rushed and were able to take our time to enjoy each location. He was also a great guide and a very calm driver (which, given the traffic in Ubud, is definitley a valuable quality). Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The location is great, right in the middle of one of the main roads, close to all sorts of restaurants and shops.

NetherlandsIf there is only one thing is that it was quite humid in the room but appart from that nothing.
The staff was excellent, every employee were so kind to us, bringing kind attentions to us, always smiling and helping us whenever we needed. The location of the hotel was also amazing at the perfect in between the Monkey Forest and the Temples/market. The pool was a little oasis as well and the restaurant offered very great food at very good price.

AustraliaThe hotel is right in the middle of everything so there are street sounds of vehicles etc. The rain drowned out most until it stopped.
The room on the upper story was lovely with a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were welcoming and because we booked with booking.com we got all kinds of little treats like spring rolls, fruit platters, iced tea etc. The room was lovely and the pool was gorgeous with a little bridge to get to our room. A little dicey in the rain but fine for abled-bodied folks. The restaurants nearby where great with many options, and so much shopping.

United KingdomFantastic place and location, minutes away from monkey forest, key cultural sites in Ubud, bars and restaurants. Exceptional staff and service, every member of staff was so kind and accommodating, I felt very well looked after. I loved the restaurant and garden, peaceful, idyllic and green - perfect for a restful afternoon after exploring Ubud. I would definitely go back!

United States1. part of the property is built over bars and restaurants so there is very loud live music playing until around 11 PM. If you are on the half of the resort that is over the bar be prepared for loud music. In fact, we had to change rooms because the noise in our room was very loud, especially when you were getting up early for Tour. It felt like the band was in the room. 2. You typically order the breakfast the night before and your options are fairly limited. 3. You can hear a lot of the road noise, but I think that would happen in almost all the hotels in the main area of Ubud.
The location was great. It was near the palace and monkey forest. I’m about a 12 minute walk to market. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The facilities were great. The pool was very relaxing. The water is cool after hot days walking around the city. The staff was absolutely amazing. When we arrived, there was a fresh fruit platter in our room, all the items in the mini bar are free, we got a free bottle of white wine. The staff was very attentive.

United KingdomWe absolutely loved our stay here! Honestly could not fault a single thing. The staff were so lovely, really friendly and remembered all of our names. Nothing was too much for them and they were always around to help out if we needed anything! Not to mention the rooms were so clean, breakfast was delicious and service was wonderful. We loved the hotel too. The location was perfect as it is so central but really felt like our own oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The rooms were beautiful, so perfectly decorated we felt instantly relaxed and calm inside. Would highly recommend staying here. We would definitely come again.

United KingdomWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel which exceeded our expectations. The Grand Delux room was very spacious with very comfortable beds and the garden pool area very tranquil. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice between Balinese and Western options. Afternoon tea each day and the room’s minibar were complimentary in the price and we also had 20% off food and drinks through our Booking.com reservation. This hotel is in prime location on the best shopping street in Ubud with a huge amount of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It’s also a short walk to the Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace, which holds traditional Balinese dance performances each night. If you’ve done your homework, you’ll also know that Ubud is the best place to stay if you want to visit Bali’s most beautiful temples, rice terraces or the volcanos. Many hotels have similar facilities but what sets them apart is their service. During our stay we were made to feel like VIPs at this hotel. Every member of staff from the domestic staff up to the management were outstanding and a credit to the hotel. We really couldn’t find any fault with our stay. Highly recommended from us! We stayed 5 nights as a family of two adults and a 12 year old at the end of a three week holiday travelling across Indonesia. During our travels we stayed in accommodations ranging from £15-150 per night and rate our stays based on expectation.

United StatesNot a thing.
In my traveling over 60 countries staying in lodgings good and bad, this one rank as one of the top in service, location (10 minutes walk in one direction to Ubud palace, and the Monkey Forest in another), design (room designed to protect privacy and a true oasis in Ubuds chaos), and value (not cheap, but gives me the satisfaction of money well spent). My 10 out 10 rating is not an inflated score.

Staff were friendly and caring. The breakfast was tasty. We had choices if we want breakfast jn our room. Within the walking area, there are shops, restaurant, and the art market. Easy access to tourists’ destination. The room had a balcony and spacious. The hotel was along the main road, however, rooms and the garden were situated in a quiet place.
