The location right on a beach with fantastic views of Rinjani volcano on Lombok was lovely. My hut on the beach was impeccable with mosquito netting and a spacious bathroom. Water was supplied for free as long as you had a bottle and the breakfast was scrumptious. Homemade bread straight from the oven was a lovely personal touch.Staff were attentive and quick to help with your inquiries. Was a bit more money but worth it

Like a true desert island(except for the incessant rain) the location is beautiful and extremely peaceful. Staff are super friendly and helpful despite the lack of English. Manager Jun is a great guy, under a lot of pressure to keep things functioning but always smiling and concerned with the guests The bungalows are very artistically designed and decorated. Kind of shabby chic with the emphasis on chic. Mosquito nets are provided. Cleanliness standards are casual in keeping with the desert island vibe Food is above average though they struggle to obtain some supplies like good fresh fruit Altogether a great experience

All was great for us. I was left wondering if there was something more the accommodation providers could do collectively to try to remove some of the rubbish that washes up on the beaches. It must feel like a losing battle but might help a little to stop it returning to the sea.

Amazing location right in the beach. Great team. Snorkelling gear provided. Easy walk along the beach to the village to other warung/restos/bars. Everything you need for a relaxing few days.

A beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We loved everything at Alam Karang. The rooms are lovely, beds comfortable, and they look straight out onto the beach. All the food was delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

It would be great to have fins available as part of the snorkel trip

I loved my stay at Alam Karang - the team went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable, from organising snorkel trips to arranging a massage. The location is beautiful - the beach is lovely and you can see blue corals when snorkelling straight off the beach. Jun was always available to answer any questions, and the rest of the team were super attentive.

The bar/restaurant is open until 8:30 pm of one-one is there at the moment, otherwise they stay open longer. A standard closing time of 21:30 would be appreciated :) The beach beds cushions moved quite a lot, a simple rubber mat under them would fix this 🤷🏼‍♂️

Very quite, beautiful location, really friendly and helpful personnel, they go all the way for you :) nice rooms! Huge bathroom and the bungalows are in good shape. Porch fences are beging replaced as we speak with new ones.

The beach really is for snorkeling only rather than swimming. The shelly beach is sharp on the feet however Jun provided free water shoes as-well along with the snorkel & mask so this was not a problem.

There really is nothing not to love about this little pocket of paradise. Cute & comfy bungalows right on the beach, friendly & attentive staff keen to meet your every need without being stifling. The restaurant offered yummy food prepared from scratch including homemade bread. Amazing snorkeling experience with Jordy. He went searching for seahorses & turtles and did not disappoint! We swam with multiple turtles and it was magical 💖 this place is quiet & relaxing. Jun & his team are the best 😊

Absolutely beautiful location. Beachfront bungalows with every detail thought of. Gorgeous linen and towels. Free snorkelling gear. The 4 of us took a snorkelling boat trip to 3 islands with lovely host and guide Marie. Swam with turtles, beautiful coral and we even saw a sea horses. Water clear and beautiful. The restaurant serves delicious food and nice wines are also available. A very special place and would love to return.

If I had to write something it would be that the air con didn’t work amazingly well, but it wouldn’t put us off staying again.

Incredible property! The room was beautiful, clean and has everything you need. The staff are the best we have come across in our three months of travels, they are friendly and really care about their guests. It’s like staying with family, so wonderful! The food is also great and the prices very reasonable. Thank you to Marie and her team!

Great welcome Marie and her team. Great place to enjoy some tranquility, beach life and some good food. They organize snorkeling and island hopping as well. Can only get there by boat. The island itself is secluded.

This accommodation was truly outstanding, with so much love and attention to detail that made our stay exceptional. Marie and her team did a wonderful job, ensuring everything was perfect. We enjoyed stunning views, coral reefs right on the doorstep, and the sea directly in front of the accommodation. It offered an abundance of tranquility without ever feeling boring.

This is an awesome place to stay! Marie and the staff were very welcoming and would always go the extra mile for guests. The rooms are well kept and have everything you need for a comfy stay, and the food was some of the best we had on our trip. The snorkelling both from Alam Karang, and on Marie's snorkel trip, was world class!

The air con was quite loud at night but we decided to keep it off and asked for another fan and we're comfortable.

Really great staff. Marie and her team were friendly and catered to all our needs, including providing mask, snokel and reef shoes. The location is amazing, the best on the island. It's paradise. Waking up to gorgeous sunsets over the ocean right outside our room was incredible. It's a short walk at low tide along the beach to the village. The locals on the island are so friendly.

Best place we have been to in Indonesia so far. The bungalows on the beach are clean, spacious and attention is paid on every detail. The location on the quiet island of Gili Gede is perfect for relaxing. The meals and cocktails we had at the restaurant of Alam Karang were all delicious.

Excellent beach front location. Sunrise over the water. Magnificent moon rise too. Maree and her team are wonderful. June is a real gentleman. Maree is an excellent snorkeling guide- pointed out creatures we would have missed. There is also a house reef - I visited the blue coral every day! Great air-conditioning for the hot afternoons, and always the view of the ocean

The views from the bungalow are incredible and so peaceful. The beach is crystal clear and full of fish; I could spend hours diving. There is a small town a 5-10 minute walk away where everyone is super friendly, and the food is incredible. Also, the food at Alam Karang is excellent.
