Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFabulous location. Very quirky rooms. If you are older like myself, 61, it is best to request a room without stairs. Our room had a narrow wooden staircase from bedroom down to bathroom, which took a bit of navigating in the middle of the night. Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. Great snorkelling in front of resort.

CanadaFantastic location and facility, especially for a getaway with easy access to snorkeling right from the Amed Lodge deck on the beach. The accommodations are a trendy style that's gorgeous to look at, everywhere you look there's a new artistic detail. The whole property is stunning. The rooms are also very comfortable, with all the amenities I wanted. Finally the staff are exceptional, and extremely friendly and helpful with whatever you need assistance with.

GermanyWe came for two nights and stayed for 2 weeks. The Amed Lodge is an authentic, boutique Balinese hotel with some beautiful Japanese design touches. The rooms are all designed individually and have a lot of character and style. The lodge is situated right on a quiet stretch of beach where you can swim and do some nice snorkeling. We felt very welcome and enjoyed talking to Pina, Ayu and the team. Terima kasih. kami ingin kembali lagi.

CanadaEverything! It was beautifully designed. The bed was so comfortable. Room spacious. And the best is that they work towards no single use plastic. They happily fill water bottles. The staff are so helpful and kind. Beautiful spot to land.

Belgiumall was perfect!
Simply perfect! The location, the rooms, and the staff were all wonderful—kind, smiling, and always available. Everything was in place for a pleasant stay. The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep at night. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It was very clean, and the outdoor bathroom was a unique touch for us. This was our favorite place during our two-weeks stay in Bali, offering excellent value for money, with a great range of activities available. They provided snorkeling equipment and scooter rentals on-site. The team's responsiveness was impressive, and the breakfast was fabulous! The view from the balcony was breathtaking. It’s also conveniently located near the main street, shops, and other activities. Highly recommended!

AustraliaNothing to dislike. If you have difficulty with mobility, maybe book one of the floor level rooms.
A unique property centrally located between snorkeling spots Jemaluk Bay to the right, 10 minute walk, Amed Pyramids/ turtle point to the left, walk 5 minutes, then drift back on the current. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. We had the Amed ocean front room which was lovely. Photos are exactly as it presents. Staff were incredible. Breakfast was delicious. One of my favourite stays in Bali. We will definitely return.

FranceThere is nowhere to hang clothes, not even a chair in the room, but hopefully they will add this soon. It is hard to walk on the road which is narrow and busy without sidewalks. Grab is not allowed in Amed and t «taxis » are expensive, the hotel can call you one though you get asked on the street all the time too.
We had the Romantic Amed room overlooking the restaurant and the sea. The bed was great , large and just the right softness. The aircon was powerful and the room was bright. The breakfast was tasty, the other meals OK but not great. The best part is that while the hotel is rather far from the central part of Amed (which is without interest frankly), it is situated between two good snorkeling sites: Jemeluk bay to the right when facing the sea (about 10 lin walk, the best coral is on the far part of the bay, under’the cliff), and the pyramids (opposite Bobo warung) and turtle point (closer to the hotel, check on Maps). Snorkeling right in front of the hotel is not good. Check the Joly good view cafe on the cliff for sunset drinks - magical!

AustraliaAircon was a bit noisy and struggled to keep up in the wooden structure but a small gripe on an overall lovely stay.
Jemeluk room location was awesome. Beautiful out look from the verandah right to the beach. A very peaceful, tranquil place to stay. Well located and very clean room and grounds. Staff were all lovely.

AustraliaThere's nothing negative.
The hotel is excellent. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The food offered a varied menu with options to suit every taste, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality. What really stood out was the incredible service from the staff - they were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, situated right by the sea, offering breathtaking views from practically every corner. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations.

AustraliaNothing to say here.
We absolutely loved this place. The Jemeluk room was our spot for a week and we were very sad to move on. The room was big and comfortable with a great view to the outside. Air con was efficient. Breakfast was reliable and had a bit of variety. Strong Balinese coffee and a full monty:) The team that run the place are really hospitable and very chill. Typical Balinese hospitality. Maybe the best thing about the place though is the little terrace where you have breakfast every morning and you can sit and just relax at the water's edge. Hard to imagine a better little relaxing spot. Everyone seems to love it. Walking distance to all the eating spots, smaller warungs 2-5 mins to the left, a bigger collection of restaurants 10-15min to the right. Stay in Amed, it's good Bali, and this place is a gem. We also spent a few nights at the Tirta Ganga room, as the Jemeluk wasnt available for those nights. Ditto for that room too. Don't waste your cash on the glitzy flash, you'll love it here.
