Just know that at the time of writing this review and my stay, they are building two more villas next to the existing ones. There may be occasional noise, but I didn't mind it at all! They are actually keeping it pretty quiet and the staff reassured us if there was too much noise to let them know.

You need to stay here when visiting Ubud. It is a perfect oasis in the middle of the jungle. Staff is amazing - you get breakfast served directly to the room which you order the day before, free shuttle to and from anywhere in Ubud, room service and minibar is SUPER cheap and the dinner was tasty. Communication via WhatsApp was never a problem, they reply immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Wow, what a beautiful place. We didn't want to leave and will have to come back for a longer stay. The private pool, the lush garden view, floating breakfast and hospitality..it was such a dream!! Massages, activities, taxis and room service can all be arranged by the wonderful reception staff who were always available. Definitely recommend for a romantic getaway or honeymoon. A couple of minutes walk from the rice terraces and restaurants. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Anandari Ubud and really hope we can come back one day.

Anandari Villas is located in a relatively quiet part of Tegallalang and the villas are beautiful. Staff are fantastic and the room service meals were really good and quite reasonable. I discovered some great walks in the local area so you can enjoy the nearby countryside.

The villa was absolutely stunning, with its private garden and pool and the unique open bathroom—an experience we enjoyed even during the occasional storms. From start to finish, we felt genuinely cared for. Every staff member was exceptionally polite and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and memorable. We made use of several services, including laundry, in-villa dining, scooter rental, pickup from the centre of Ubud, and a couple’s massage in our room. All were handled seamlessly. The staff consistently checked in on us and were incredibly responsive. For instance, they helped decorate the bedroom with flowers and prepare a birthday cake, as requested by my partner. Their availability on WhatsApp was particularly impressive. Even when we messaged at 3 am before heading to see the sunrise, they responded within minutes. The team also showed great care for the surrounding nature, maintaining a calm and authentic atmosphere where the villas are situated. During our stay in the rainy season, a minor issue arose due to a thunderstorm. The manager personally followed up to ensure it didn’t affect our experience—a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference. We deeply appreciated the exceptional service and serene environment and will return with great pleasure!

The 2-3 steps down into the bathroom in the middle of the night. And there was no ladder, handrail or steps to get in and out of the pool, which proved both difficult and dangerous for seniors.

The staff were most helpful. Almost family. We had all Our meals brought to the room and the quality was excellent. The outside bathroom was ‘interesting’ but somewhat challenging to use during a monsoon shower. A superb hideaway from the never ending hustle and bustle of Ubud.

More variety for room service and a little bit hard to walk in the bathroom.

The location was beautiful and the pool had an amazing view. The staff were very nice and would make their presence known before entering the villa. It was very easy to communicate via Whatsapp and they were accommodating to our travel disruptions. Breakfast and room service was enjoyable and the massages were fantastic!

Everything was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. We loved absolutely everything about the hotel!

Everything about our stay was incredible! The staff were amazingly kind, knowledgeable, and helped us with every question we had about visiting the local attractions. The food was delicious, and I recommend the candle lit dinner by the pool as the food was amazing. The breakfast is also delivered straight to your room in the morning at the time of your choosing. It is about half an hour outside of Ubud, but a free taxi is provided if you want to go in and out of the town. The hotel is right next to the beautiful rice terraces, which are stunning and fantastic to walk around. There are also several great restaurants right on the rice terraces which have the most amazing view and delicious food. I cannot write enough about how wonderful our stay was here. If you are coming to Bali, you must stay here!

Luckily we reserved the day before at 200 euro a night because the room was normally at more than 600 euros a night.. A lot of money for Bali and not worth 600 a night. Average people earn not even 200 euros a month, so we had a good price, but even for Bali 200 a night is not normal.

Quality of breakfast was average (pastries didn't taste very fresh). We took the taxi shuttle organised by the venue and our driver refused to take toll roads saying he hadn't topped up his account. This meant our trip to the airport took even longer than expected. Thankfully we didn't miss our flight but we weren't impressed.

Beautiful setting, quiet, very private, staff friendly and effective.
