Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shower was not heated, and you can hear other guests in their rooms. But I don't really mind considering the price.

I knew there would be no hot water so that is fine. The room was dusty and I have doubts about the cleanliness of the bathroom.
Amazing location, great for 1-2 nights to then move on. Staff is nice and accommodating. Ok value for money

There is no hot water for shower. I stayed 4 nights. Of course once I get used to it, it's OK. The weather is hot and the water is not icy cold. It doesn't feel too cold.
Great value. super close to the train station if you are coming from or returning to YIA airport. The hotel is in the little alley right across from train station exit/entrance. strong wifi. Friendly staff. Walking distance to Getyourguide tour meeting point. Strong AC for my room.

I did not like the place around the property , rats were walking with us and for sure this is not related to Andrea hotel . If you can’t afford ( I could not ) this kind of environment it will be stress for you .
People in this facility are really good , I had some crisis but the owner himself called tried to calm me down . Thanks to him and i know I was aggressive and I am sorry for that . The guy on reception also good . Compared to area the place was nice cleaned , the only issue was internet and hot water .

The room had no ventilation as its an internal room. But it's OK for short stays. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area to chill at, but sadly the hotel across from it (not Andrea hotel) keeps a bird too big for in a small cage right in front. It's super distressing to see the bird (or different birds?) struggling every morning, screeching trying to find a way out. Not sure what the point of this display is, but it's not Andrea hotel doing this, however depressing to see this everyday.
This is a locals hotel. It's no frills, but super clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. Because it's in an alleyway it's quiet (apart from loud guests that turn up.) The front reception folks are so lovely and will try and help you with any questions you have.

The room and bathroom were very small and a little old, but for the price, it was good value and fine for a couple of nights.
Excellent location, close to the train station, markets and sights. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

There are air vents in the room that are open to the corridor so you do get noise from other guests when going to/from their rooms but generally it was quiet. Otherwise all was as expected and good value for the location/price.
The hotel is down a quiet, traffic free alley right across from the Yogyakarta train station so very convenient but also quiet (the airport train goes directly to this station so only 2-3 minute walk to the hotel). The room and bathroom were basic but clean (no hot water but we knew this) and the owners and staff were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside on their terrace and appreciated the availability of beers at a fair price (as the stores in the area don’t carry alcohol).

Friendly staffs , helpfull for everything if I need. Very safety. free minelal water botlles for each day. close to the station and calm street. I can stay in the entrance tessas if I want to feel the outside's wind.

The ventilation gap in the wall above the door is completely open, so there is less privacy in the room in terms of noise. We saw an earthworm coming from the drain of the shower.
Location is very good, next to train station and and main shopping street. It's located in a quiet a nicely decorated alley with plants and paintings. Room is basic but good value for money.

The rooms were a bit stuffy. Clean but a bit rundown.
