Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe recently had the pleasure of staying at one of Aryaswara Villa Ubud's stunning Balinese villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa itself is beautifully appointed with traditional Balinese furnishings, creating an authentic and serene atmosphere. It features one large bedroom, one medium-sized bedroom, and one small bedroom, each with its own private bathroom and air conditioning. The open-air living, dining, and kitchen spaces were perfect for enjoying the tropical climate, and the private infinity pool was truly the center of attention. We couldn't get our grandson out of the pool! The staff members were incredibly attentive and provided exceptional service (a big thank you to Eddie and the rest of the wonderful staff members). They delivered breakfast to our villa each morning and they arranged private tours around Ubud, making us feel like part of their family. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a luxurious and immersive Balinese experience.

United KingdomWe don't really mind cats but one ingratiated himself with us and it was an effort to keep out of the room. The bathroom in our room was open to the outside and while it certainly had character will not be to everyone's taste as fairly rugged - the cat also had access to the bathroom. Steps up to the particular villa were rough stones - characterful and OK for most but some of the steps were over one foot high. Walking from the villa was difficult due to lack of pavements and the busyness of the roads (a lot of two wheelers. Most outings were by car.
Stayed in Room 205, a detached villa. Lots of character, comfortable bed, outside space, short walk from pool. Staff excellent. Unfortunately we hit on a rainy season in December and it rained heavily during our stay but still had some sunshine. Worth checking likely weather out before booking.

SpainThis is the comment we have posted on Google, we are very grateful to everyone. Hello, we are a newly married Spanish couple. We are not very young and we have travel experience. It is the second time we are in Bali and with all the sincerity in the world I highly recommend this Villa. It is in a very good location to visit the areas of Ubud, there is peace, there is tranquility, they provide you with everything you ask for at the moment from staff services (which are immediate) to excursions like the one we did today in rafting and then a Balinese massage which honestly has been the best they have given me in my life (it is a simple example of what our day to day life is like). The breakfasts are brought to your room every morning and they make a lot of effort to make your stay perfect. The pool, the place, the staff, the food, the services, all impeccable. If you want to enjoy Bali I think it is the perfect place! Thanks to all the staff for making these days unforgettable for me and my wife, we will never forget these moments and of course when I return I will not hesitate to stay at Aryaswara Villa Ubud again, thank you all for these special moments. These people deserve it all! Thank you from the bottom of my heart from both of us.

United StatesWe ordered takeout through the Grab app a couple times and there weren’t a lot of dishes/utensils available in the unit. We had to share amongst our group of 5. There was a miscommunication our first night where we were told to use an app to order dinner but it never came. Seems WhatsApp is a better way to communicate with the staff. After a long day of travel it was unfortunate. One of the bedroom air conditioners was leaking onto the bed. The staff came to fix it twice and it was eventually resolved. There was construction next door but honestly wasn’t that loud since there were no power tools being used. You have a jungle view from the villa but you do have neighbors on each side… so if you’re looking for a total nature experience this isn’t super remote. We found that about most of our Bali experience though.
We loved the beautiful woodwork and architectural details of the family villa we stayed in. The infinity pool overlooking the jungle was beautiful. There were plenty of places to hang out (couch, lounge chairs, two tables). Loved that we had a water filter in the villa to fill up water bottles. It was quiet and we enjoyed the noises of the jungle. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff was very nice. The shuttle downtown and to the main campus was pretty easy to coordinate. The massages we had at the main campus were amazing - highly recommend. Each bed had a mosquito net and the rooms were clean.

United StatesLocation was not as expected. Property is at the end of a long one way alley way and our Villa overlooked a very small rice field which was surrounded by other homes so not the beautiful serene view we expected. There was a street directly under the bedroom windows though while not highly trafficked, it did provide a bit of moped and vehicle noise during the day and very early some mornings. There was some type of heavy equipment work going on in the field right behind the Villa that was non stop one day. On our 2nd day we were notified (not asked) that there would be about 7 people coming INTO our Villa for an hour or so to hold a religious ceremony at the little temple in our garden the next day which was a Hindu holiday. This seems strange that your private paid for space could be invaded in such a way. While they invited us to observe (which we didn't), it basically meant that we were trapped in our bedroom away from the pool, kitchen and living areas for over 2 hours while they set up and held the ceremony. It also meant about 45 minutes of a bell ringing non stop below our bedroom window. We loved the Villa, food and staff but the location and that strange intrusion of our space makes it difficult to say we will be back.
Staff was amazing. Food from room service was very yummy. Villa was clean and spacious and beautiful. Massages were very good and easy to book at check in. Very responsive staff and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp.
