Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Kitchen could be more clean. The roof is old and natural and something is falling on the food when you cook and no cover for pots. Only big pots are available. Room cleaning is everyday, but sometimes I didn’t get the point of cleaning girls, when they was doing one thing one day and leaving some stuff unattended the other day. Room a little bit dark.
Place is very quiet and cozy. Big garden, old but nice yoga Shaka down on the garden. Rooms are cozy, with AC, private bathroom and outdoor shower. Small yard with table and two chairs. Inside the room also you have kettle, cups and spoons. Room cleaning and water changing everyday. Sound isolation of rooms is good. You have a big closet in the room and little bamboo stair for drying clothes Stuff is very friendly, welcoming and polite. Ketut is the best manager.

The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have wanted, partly because it was outdoors.
The location was really good! And safe for a solo traveler.

You can't close the toilet door all the way, so it is always a little bit open which I don't think is very hygenic.
They clean your room everyday, they make your bed and you get clean towels. The garden is also really pretty and the hot shower is great. Ac is also really nice and you don't hear any traffic which is nice. The employees are so helpful and kind.

Ketut was extremely helpful & friendly & my room was cleaned every day. The location is ideal for Ubud & quiet. I was able to conveniently rent a scooter from Ketut & he arranged my airport transfer, it was all so easy.

Nothing in particular about the guest house, but more about the other guests (foreigners) next doors who were being noisy and inconsiderate while staying in a small and intimate property, e.g. they slammed the door when closing it, talking quite loud in the middle of the night.
The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciate.

The door of the toilet didn’t close at all, and it was having an open window with not net for the mosquitoes, so some mosquitos where getting inside from the window’s toilet there. Not enough bin containers, only the one in the toilet
The staff was very friendly, the air conditioning was working as it was meant to, they where make up our room everyday, we could refill our bottle of water, we could rent a scooter there, there room was looking pretty well. Shower was outside with the sink, and it was cute

Location is a bit far from most of the things I wanted to do, but easy scooter or a 15-20 min walk.
Very friendly staff. Nice outdoor shower and sink. Clean and comfortable bed. Incredibly affordable. Nice outdoor space. Peaceful and quiet location away from main road.

Electrical wiring in the shower room should be much safer. Reconstruction work in the yard should have been tidied up. Dirt pathways should have more pavers for better footing.
Nice garden. Quiet location. Responsive manager and staff. Room cleaned every day.

Awesome stay in the craziness of Ubud just out of the way of the hustle and bustle, lovely shower and not to far walking distance from nearby restaurants and bars! Staff super friendly and welcoming with nothing but great advice on nearby amenities also scooters for rent at a great price!

Not as pretty as the pictures. Stained tiles and linen. Dark room. A/C not great. No food available despite food pictures. Yoga deck not in use. My toilet was dripping water constantly onto the floor so the bathroom was always wet.
Close to town centre. Good customer service. The towels smell good. Free soap and coffee in room. Kitchen to use if you’re low maintenance. Well kept garden.

The washroom was clean but was not like exceptionally clean. In my room only one charging port was working. The door has a slight gap after we lock it from inside and a frog or other creature may enter inside unknowingly but it was okay for us as the surrounding is very clean and natural
The location of the property is very near to the ubud market area and monkey forest. So you may go aroud the market anytime without the need of any vehicle. The bed was very comfortable

The broadband didn't work for half of my stay. The rooms really need some maintenance.
