Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Would be nice if there were more restaurants in walk distance. A few ones were closed but maybe because of the rain all day and in main seasons it's better
One of the best places we have been in my 3 months travel in indonesia. The place is very quiet, very clean, the staff is super friendly. The interior of our room was amazing. Also the room is very spacious, for us it was perfect to do morning yoga :-)

Because of the eco-home concept may have mosquitos
The staff was really friendly! We were able to book a day tour to Ijen, which we highly recommend. The facilities at the hotel were also very clean and the room was beautifully decorated

They don't serve food but can recommend a few places within walking distance, dining options in the immediate vicinity are still a bit limited though.

All good
The overall property was amazing and they are very clean and organized. The staff ensures the guests are at their comfort and they provide assistance at every instance we request anything for. Overall one of the best hostels I have stayed at and I would recommend this place as a goto place without any hesitation.

Excellent. Easily the nicest hostel I've stayed at so far in Indonesia and extremely well priced for what you get. Clean, tidy and quiet. The staff were extra helpful and friendly. Keeping the place clean and answering any questions we had to the best of their knowledge. Aurora was exceptionally friendly and took us to the local food after her shift. So awesome! ✌️ We highly recommend staying here if you get a chance. We extended our stay by a few days to make the most of it

Only minus is stat its not too social as most of the visitors are on a tour and only staying 1 night. But the nice staff made up for it:)
The rooms are super nice with good AC! But What made my stay special was the amazing straff! So helpful and beautiful people

Even though I only stayed for ohne night, it is one of the best hostels I‘ve stayed in so far. The staff were so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay even more pleasant, providing me with good information and taking their time to have a chat. The room was huge, really clean and with a really big bathroom. We’ll definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Java. The staff was super helpful and they can help you organise tours to Ijen volcano and other sites. Exceptional!! They took great care of us!

There was nothing that we didn't like
We stayed there only 2 nights, but we did some many cool things in such a short time. They organized rides, snorkelling and Ijen trip for us. We had a driver, that was more than just a driver, as helped us with everything
