Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I have not enough words to express how much happiness and unforgettable memories this place brought to us. We stayed at the One Bedroom Pool Villa for my birthday and the staff prepared a special surprise for me. They decorated the room and also they came with a cake and sang the happy birthday. Ever staff member is genuinely friendly, servicial and always attentive to any need or detail. You don’t need to ask for, they already know what you need! Ari was our butler and our guide during our morning walk through the village and the rice field. He is the person you need to meet to know more about this area as he is a local and he knows everything about the place. He was a 10/10!! We also had a chance to get a mini tour around the construction site where the hotel is expanding more accommodation. We also enjoyed our yoga morning with Nuri, she made us felt at home welcoming us at 7am with some fresh drinks to start the day. The General Manager also was in contact with us and explained more about the hotel and how it is growing. It was nice to have a word with him and he being an approachable person to guests. We were fascinated by the room features and view. The landscaping and sustainable construction is something to be amazed by. While planning our trip, we spent a lot of time looking for a perfect accommodation and we only could it find it here. Every detail is perfectly planned to make your stay something special and make you want to return to stay again. We would definitely come back!

United StatesThis hotel is brand new (a year old) so the spa was under construction and we often heard construction during our stay. They said this would all be done by June! However, this means all the appliances and everything is brand new which is nice :) just something to keep in mind
The staff was extremely friendly and the accommodation was beautifully made out of bamboo! The staff was almost too attentive lol ! We enjoyed our 2 days here for my birthday and it is a unique property about 45 min from downtown Ubud. They even came to my room and sang for me and gave me free champagne and cake - very thoughtful! We’d recommend getting the room with the pool as ours didn’t have one and the main hotel pool was under construction.

AustraliaMy partner and I had the most incredible stay with Bambootel. The resort is peaceful and nestled into a secluded area of the jungle. The resort grounds and the individual rooms are beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very unique. There are a wide range of services, activities and excursions offered by the resort to envelope you into Balinese culture or enhance your stay – the cooking class was a lot of fun (thank you so much Tari!) and the massages (thank you Yuyun and Suarni) were a big highlight for us. A very big thank you to Nanda who assisted us on our tour of the exquisite Menening Temple and water meditation experience. And to Ari and Kori who allowed us to assist and guided us through the making of their daily Gebogan offerings. The food at the restaurant is delectable – We highly recommend the pork belly entrée, the Pad Thai main, and definitely ensure you try the lava cake! And we had a delightful time trying a wide range of cocktails on the menu while listening to a great live duo cover all of our favourite song requests acoustically. However, my partner and I agree more than anything, that what makes Bambootel so incredibly special are the wonderful staff. Rediak and Ari in butler services, Manik and Ana at reception, and Budi the operations manager, were so incredibly kind and so welcoming. Ela, Sopy and Ardana are the friendliest waitresses and waitors who made us so excited to go to eat as we knew there was always warm conversations and laughs waiting for us. It is the staff of Bambootel that left such a strong positive imprint on our memories of our trip to Bali, quite easily the highlight of our whole trip, and we are so incredibly grateful for them.

It‘s tucked away in a quiet area, it was so peaceful. It’s about 45min drive to downtown Ubud but I didn’t mind it at all, as we had free shuttle service to Ubud downtown anyway. Absolutely loved the rice paddy field view from our villa (villa 1). Exceptional customer service. Every single staff member at Bambootel was so lovely and welcoming. Cultural experiences offered to guests - bbq night, traditional dance performance night, morning walk to rice paddy fields - we very much enjoyed them all.

South KoreaI was okay. but my wife disliked flies and bugs. but There was no mosquito in my memories. I felt like the hotel did a good job of controlling mosquitoes.
The food served at the restaurant tasted fresh, the staff was friendly, and the view was great. I have never been these kinds of nature friendly hotel, greate experience for me I brought a shower head with a filter and used it, and the color of the filter did not change at all. I felt like I was using very clean water.
