Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandThe first night air-con was so loud, we decided to shut it at 3:00 am. And it brought back my peace while the sleeping temperature was still ok. I had no issue the second night.
I cannot name one, all is my most 'like'. Bambu Indah is beyond my expectation! I stayed at Guadua house, and it is peaceful and relax to spend my weekend away from busy schedules during weekdays.

United StatesEverything about my stay and the property was amazing! The natural flow of things, the indoor outdoor living, the views, pools, restaurants, and swings made the whole experience therapeutic. The staff was extremely kind, prompt, and helpful. The sustainability of the structures paired with function and luxury makes the whole place an artful masterpiece. Thanks to all at Bamboo Indah! See you next time 😇

NetherlandsWe wish for the cows “Bamboo “ and “Indah” to have more space to roam around.
Waking up in the moon house, we had to pinch ourselves every day to make sure it’s not a dream;) What an incredible and magical place, built within and with respect for nature. One of the most amazing and most memorable experiences of our life. Everything was perfect. The people, their kindness and service, the thought-through ecotravel and sustainability concept, including the beautiful and tasty food and local sourcing, the incredible awe-inspired architecture (especially of our moon house!!) fully indulged in nature and the social projects and care for community. The spa and restaurant are also accessible for outsiders with a daily pass, highly recommended to also try out the new restaurant!

United StatesIt wasn't an issue for me, but there are a LOT of steps to navigate, so it might be tricky for people with mobility issues.
Absolutely amazing place...I really enjoyed everything about it. The grounds are gorgeous and the staff very helpful and warm. The pools were lovely, the massage amazing and the restaurant and bar were both terrific.

IrelandStaying here was a really magical experience. If we had to suggest room for improvement, the spa facilities could be improved a bit and it would be great if mosquito repellent could be provided there also. I think the breakfast choices could also be improved (though what's on offer is very tasty). Guests should be aware that there can be quite a bit of walking and steep steps but this is part of the experience in staying in this kind of property imo! I think it had stated that there is a shuttle from the hotel into Ubud but the staff didn't seem to be aware of this and instead offered us a (quite expensive) taxi.
Amazing architecture and the most stunning views, it feels like you're in a really remote place while still being near Ubud. The natural pool area is beautiful and a lovely place to relax. Our room had everything we could want and was so charming, with interesting and thoughtful features everywhere. The staff are so lovely and helpful and having our own WhatsApp group was a very clever and useful touch! We also appreciated the mosquito repellent in the room and common areas!

United Arab EmiratesI had a bit of a love-hate relationship with the spiral stairs (we had 2 sets to climb ++ from the restaurant and river side pools! I loved the adventure and seclusion but it wasn’t easy to nip back to the room!
The location is amazing! We loved waking up in our tree house (tent) among the birds, listening to the gushing river below. We enjoyed all the natural pools, dipping in them all and the walk across the bridge to the crystal pools beyond!

GermanyThe coordination between the staff members need to be possibly get better organized. We booked a breakfast in the River-pod, but that information was not properly communicated so that we stayed the next day without our booking...
We spent the night at the Moon-House. This is one of the most spectacular hotel rooms we´ve ever been. The feeling is like being inside the "Avatar" movie. The design is unique, using Bambu as the main material. The whole suite cannot be easily compared to any other "just expensive" hotel suite, then it is a complete different "experience". Also the surroundings are amazing, getting from the Hotel lobby to the room feels already like a "Indiana Jones" experience. The way goes through illuminated caves, then the awesome bambu-cabin elevator (30 m deep) that takes you down closer to the river, the restaurant and the rooms. The sunset view from the Sun-set Bar is fantastic

MalaysiaEntrance of the hotel is very narrow. The restaurant is quite a distance from my room. The elevator is too cramped. Unable to lock the room. The reception area is also too small.
Lovely location. Adore the surroundings, particularly the proximity to the river and natural elements. The buildings are stunning and boast unique designs.

United KingdomWe landed on our feet here. Wouldn’t change a thing :o)
Bambu Indah is exceptional. If I could score higher than 10 I would. Unique, Magical and Unmissable. If you are coming Ubud.. this is a must. If you don’t want to stay.. have a cocktail at the sunset bar (if you can). We visited the ‘instagram’ rice fields.. which were nothing compared to the natural viewpoint at Indah. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this secret gem. An oasis just outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The cocktails, food and service were of the highest quality… such lovely natured staff who couldn’t do enough for us.
