We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNothing, it was wonderful!
This place exceeded all expectations, we hadn't realized we would have an entire private two suite villa all to ourselves with a pool. The staff were amazing from the very beginning helping scooter our bags down the long pedestrian road to helping book massages on site and then also getting our bags and us back to the main road for 3am the day we left!

PolandIt was fine for us, but if you’re not comfortable getting around on foot or by scooter, this might not be the best option for you. A car cannot reach the villa. Also, more attention should be given to providing cleaning and washing supplies for the kitchen and bathroom, as we didn’t find any on-site.
A very nice villa – cozy and comfortable. Surrounded by rice fields, which makes for a beautiful setting. The pool and balcony are wonderful. The surrounding nature is incredibly diverse. There are many local artisan shops, a few cafés, massage parlors, small stores, and yoga clubs nearby.

United KingdomWe absolutely loved our stay at Bhakti Villa and would definitely stay again the next time we're next in Ubud. The location was perfect and just a walk away from the Main Street. There were lots of restaurants and cafes close to the villa if you don't want to go into town. It was quiet, peaceful and had a stunning view of the rice paddies. The owner Rumada, his family and staff were really helpful throughout. Check-in was easy! A 10 out of 10 experience.

SingaporeAbsolutely nothing to dislike.
Stunning two floor villa (we had just the top floor and access to garden and pool) in the middle of the rice paddies, up a countryside lane which made for a beautiful walk. Bright, clean and comfortable room with beautiful views and breeze. A dream. Owners really friendly and helpful. Will stay there again if we go back to Ubud!

AustraliaExact address on google map should be shared in initial communication.
The property address on google map took us to some other place, which lead to waste 1hr and extra money for driver. Not good start. However, once we met owner and his family, all our grudge went away. Really nice and polite people, they strive hard to make your stay better. Property location good, but it is accessible only by scooter, so bit hard if you have big luggage, but owner didn’t let us feel that. They carried all bags, even came very early morning to facilitate it when we checked out. Property is nice and clean. Close to nature, isolated from crowds but same time close to Ubud center.

Switzerlandif you don't like many small or big insects, don't come to an island like this ;) it's normal! Also, be aware it's a long walk/ or short drive up a narrow stone path from the main road
The scenery is fantastic - You are literally staying inbetween rice fields - it's so beautiful, quiet, serene and magical. The long walk/short bike ride up inbetween the many rice fields is stunning and offers plenty great breakfast/brunch/lunch/ dinner options along the pathway all with amazing views onto the stunning scenery - the tranquil peace is a welcome break from the intense bustling crowds, noise and traffic of Ubud centre (and Bali in general). The staff is so amazingly friendly, sweet and helpful, the views from the terrace are magical, the pool and surrounding area is well kept and maintained, the external kitchen has everything you need. Would definitely come again.

SpainThe only downside is that the path leading to the villa is quite narrow. You can only get there by motorbike or on foot, and it can be a bit tricky to navigate with a scooter, especially when other bikes are passing by. However, it’s a scenic route and can even be fun at times!
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful villa in Ubud! The villa is spread across two floors, and since we were a group of four, we rented the entire space. The upstairs villa was the highlight – it was spacious, comfortable, and had stunning views. Everything was very clean, and the villa itself was absolutely gorgeous. The outdoor areas were breathtaking, with a wonderful pool and lush surroundings. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered us scooters, which made exploring the area much easier. They even picked us up at the entrance of the path leading to the villa (since cars couldn't reach the property) and transported us with all our luggage by motorbike. They gave us excellent local tips, and everything they recommended was spectacular. The villa is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by rice fields, and was just a 5-10 minute ride by scooter or a 20-minute walk to the center of Ubud. This made the location perfect for both convenience and tranquility. We also had the luxury of receiving a massage in our room. There are great restaurants, yoga spots, and shops nearby, which made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Ubud!

IndiaNA. Everything was great.
We stayed at 2 different properties in Ubud and this was definitely our favourite all things considered. The room was great - looks exactly the way it does in the pictures, overlooking the rice fields. You can also find fireflies at night in the fields. The location is perfect - so close to the market and all the best cafes of Ubud. The host family is extremely sweet. While the location itself is great, the last stretch is accessible only by scooter or by foot, so when we reached Ubud, even though it was well past 8 PM, the entire family was there to pick us up and drop at the location and help with the luggage. They'd done the same when we had to leave early in the morning to the airport. That said, this stretch was our favourite part of the location - we could just walk to all the good places for all our meals with the rice fields on one side. Loved the place. I'd 10/10 recommend.

AustraliaNothing, everything was perfect.
Rumada met us at the airport and made sure he was very prominent in the sea of drivers waiting. For the last kilometer of the trip we had 3 motor bikes waiting to take us and luggage to the villa. There are only 2 rooms with a pool so it felt like we had alot of privacy. The view is amazing and the sound of nature during the night. The kitchen had everything we needed. Absolutely loved the 3 weeks we stayed there and would definitely come back. Also there are plenty of restaurants on the rice paddy walk so don't need to walk too far to get great food.

Amazing room, gorgeous views, super quiet, clean, optional nice and affordable breakfast, the family who run this place is so helpful and lovely. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay! Disclaimer: you need to be able to drive a scooter or happy to use Grab/Gojek regularly. Also some nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Great and easy walks to do straight from the house.

SwedenI had a fantastic stay at this place. Right in the middle of rice field, yet very close to a small street with many cute shops, restaurants and massage places! If you stay here, I recommend you to contact the owner to arrange to meet with him by the main road where you will be dropped off when you reach Ubud (since the car cannot enter to the road facing this property). The owner has kindly come to pick me up with his motorbike along with his wife. The owner can also help you arrange a trip around Bali, which I found fantastic! I will definitely stay again for my next visit.

AustraliaToilet papers were of not good quality and there were no additional rolls in the toilet, if we run out of one we had to wait till next day for them to replace during room cleaning. Lil bit of a walk to get to villa but worth it as you get a gorgeous view and location to stay in.
It was cleaned daily and the view was so beautiful. View was so beautiful, villa and pool facing the rice fields.

NetherlandsIt wasn't clear to me from the booking page that the property couldn't be reached by car, which would make it difficult for people with large pieces of luggage to get there in one go (walking might be a bit much with heavy/large luggage). I think it would be appropriate to mention this
A real retreat away from the center of Ubud, but still at a very walkable distance (or Gojek ride), in the middle of the rice fields.

Czech RepublicThe cleanest place we have visited on Bali (all in a similar price range). The owner is extremely nice, with good english and very helpful. Pool is great, location very quiet, very opposite to the noisy center of Ubud. With small children (1 and 3)it's a bit far from the Ubud itself, you can use a scooter taxi but only if you are ok with that (there is some adrenaline with that) because the "road" leading to the place is not a road but rather a pavement where two scooters can barely pass when they meet each other.
