Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesMy stay at Bisma Eight in Ubud was an exceptional 5-star experience, characterized by the immaculate cleanliness and beautiful upkeep of the entire property, including the breathtaking infinity pool that offered stunning views of the lush Ubud jungle, its vibrant greenery, and occasional glimpses of wildlife. I thoroughly enjoyed the wealth of enriching activities offered, keeping me engaged with Balinese culture and nature. The Copper Kitchen & Bar was a culinary delight, serving exquisite dishes with outstanding service. Evenings were made perfect by the utterly relaxing and rejuvenating Japanese hot tub, providing a tranquil escape. Bisma Eight seamlessly blends luxury, nature, culture, and wellness, making it an unforgettable destination I highly recommend.

AustraliaThe Japanese bath tub and infinity pool
Great hotel felt clean and new and not too big so not overcrowded. However the facilities could use a bit of work- rooftop was closed for maintenance and the gym was small and smelt like mould

This is the first placeI’ve stayed that I have a 10/10 rating. . The hotel itself was beautiful and immaculate. We were greeted with cool towels and a Rosella - a delicious local drink made of flowers. The staff was fantastic, super polite, genuine, and helpful. I can’t recommend highly enough!!!!

United StatesNot a negative, but I was not aware when booking that there are two separate places for this resort -hotel part with hotel rooms and the main common pool and a villa section with its own restaurant. If you are the villas guest, you can use the other restaurant as well and their pool, which has a magnificent views You can ask for free transport to the hotel section if you want.
Loved the villas, its spaciousness and cleanliness. Breakfast included, was very tasty and filling and fresh. The beds were made daily and the villa cleaned. It has its own pool which is fantastic.

Exceptional breakfast. There was a wide range of choices, some Indonesian and others Western. Coffee, no matter the choice, was delicious. Service excellent. Our suite was stunning, immaculate and had quiet, user friendly air conditioning. Bed was sublimely comfortable with lovely linens. Staff everywhere were gracious and helpful. The resort supplied drivers and the cost was so reasonable. Our driver, Jayan was so sweet and a superb driver.

NetherlandsOutside near the pool sometimes a bit noisy due to construction. Bathroom was fun with the big tub, but the tiles were not entirely clean in the shower. Though, it might also have been the design of the tiles and bathroom.
Very green, spacious, breakfast was amazing and the coffee too! We slept very well too.

AustraliaFantastic luxury boutique hotel in Ubud. Tucked from the hustle and bustle, which was peaceful. But also only walking distance from some of Ubud’s best restaurants and attractions. Lovely staff all round with great service. Rooms are well spaced and clean. I had a lovely balcony overlooking the forest.

CanadaA bit dim at night, but we got used to it :) Monkey also came into our villa and took my food while I was eating it; staff appointed security to look out for monkeys around villa for a bit after that, but we also stopped eating in main area.

United StatesI had a fantastic stay at Bisma Eight - I was travelling alone (single woman) and the hotel made me feel extremely safe and took great care of me. The breakfast was delicious, the morning Yoga Session outside challenging (almost felt like hot yoga with the weather) and the pool was the perfect backdrop for the sunset since it faces west! Overall I had a fantastic stay at Bisma Eight and cannot wait to revisit the hotel sometime soon!

United KingdomInteresting to see the aging of a modernist vs a traditional building (although it is only 10 years old). Moss and algae growing on old walls and sculptures is lovely, but on a flat concrete wall, not so much…. And the polycarbonate roof over the restaurant is now covered in leaves and algae, but I suspect isn’t strong enough for someone to go up and clean it…
Such a contrast to the ornate buildings of Ubud, heavily ornamented and full of craftmanship, Bisma Eight is very comtemporary with its cast concrete walls, clean lines and lack of ornamentation. But the wonderful Bali feel is still there with the excellent staff team. Food was delicious, although we really only had breakfast and poolside drinks and snacks, preferring to explore Ubud for our evening meal. Great location and infinity pool with jungle beyond is lovely.
