Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandAt first we had a Bamboo Bungalow without a riecefield vieuw which was disappointing plus the basin was constantly blocked. No ventilation in bathroom. But reception was very helpful and within half an hr we where moved to a Bamboo Bungalow with a ricefield vieuw, for just a little bit extra. Pool at Bamboo Restaurant really needs a clean.
Cute Bamboo Bungalow overlooking the ricefields ( but make sure you book that as there are also Bamboos Bungalows without a vieuw)

South KoreaThe bamboo huts feel old, and a little dirty, I got bitten by something there a lot more often than other places I stayed, and I think not just mosquitoes. Also you can easily hear the bamboo hut next to you.
The location and view of the rice fields was fantastic, close to yoga shalas, restaurants and cafes.

United StatesI didn’t mind it any of the following, but just want to note that: the unit we had was very *squeaky* with all the bamboo, so you could always hear someone else if they were moving around. Also some frogs at night and roosters in the morning.. The rooms didn’t have a lot of lighting and if you leave the blinds open there isn’t a lot of privacy, I could see into rooms across the field. Again, I personally didn’t mind any of these things - just wanted to give a fair warning :)
We stayed in a Rice View Villa and really enjoyed the tree house vibe. The property has multiple pools - so not matter which part you stay in, you’re not far. Also multiple places to have your breakfast. Easy walking to restaurants, shops, and Monkey Forest. We had a short stay, but would’ve loved to stay longer. Very nice.

AustraliaThe walk to get to the Bamboo rooms was far..Obviously bamboo is not a great insulating material so I could hear my neighbours quite well. It also made the stairs/doors quite noisy. Breakfast was quite simple
unique bamboo room with a lovely bathroom and natural light, comfy linen, very clean, beautiful view and good a.c.. It may be difficult for some folk to walk all the way around the rice field to the bamboo rooms, I would come again but stay in the standard balcony room which gets the same view....but loved the novelty of the bamboo room for the night

United Kingdomnothing I didn’t like.
I loved everything about this property. the staff so kind and helpful location is perfect and quiet, off the busy street so quiet and peaceful but still very close to restaurants, shops and monkey forest. I did a massage which was good, needed to ask for more pressure but the therapist quickly adjusted. view of the rice fields in the morning is delightful. breakfast in the morning is good. room service restaurant food is decent, cheap and does the trick if you don’t fancy going out. near the yoga barn. clean room and housekeeping everyday.

United Kingdom-breakfast wasn’t very enjoyable -anywhere down the bottom of the rice field is incredibly loud as there is a river running there. we were room 101 bamboo house and when it rained we struggled to hear each-other in the house because of the river (not the hotels fault but worth nothing for people staying) -the bottom pool area is not very clean under the yoga studio. - the balcony of the bamboo house could have done with a table or cushions for the chairs
-Location was great -the bamboo house was a fun experience -nice looking into rice fields -comfortable bed -good aircon -lovely helpful staff -really good laundry service

AustraliaTotally not their fault, but there can be a lot of noise (bands and rock music) coming from nearby restaurants and bars. Not quite relaxing at times! I would also love a few more ecological tweaks, like not wrapping the glasses in plastic! The breakfast was pretty good, but if you are into coffee go further afeild!
Modest but cosy hotel in the heart of Ubud with a lovely rice paddy in the centre. Clean and neat, nice views and great value for money. Reliable strong wifi. Short walk to most key attractions in the centre of Ubud. I love the upstairs bedrooms. They had a water filter to be able to fill up/reuse bottles.
