Turned I was so comfortable that I stayed way longer than expected. The place is nice, well maintained. The dorms are very spacious and beautiful. Comfortable bed. Really nothing to complain. I can't find.

No curfew, some people were yelling and putting music at around midnight and no one told them to keep it down, not the best when you’re waking up really early to go surf. the staff had also put some very loud music one night but they turned it down when I asked them (also because anyway no one was enjoying it). I would have put 10 if there was a curfew.

Absolutely nothing!

I love everything about Botchan hostel (it’s my second time staying here). The staff are lovely, it’s a great social vibe, the pool and communal areas are spacious and lush, there’s free water which really makes a difference and the banana pancakes in the morning are delicious. You can rent a bike for 60k a day and it’s so close to Kuta beach if you have a scooter. The rooms are big and the beds have everything I needed; a light, shelf etc. If you’re going to Lombok this is the place to stay!

I changed two rooms, both had problems with AC. They fixed it in the second room after many complaints from us.

A good place for a couple of nights, close to city center, comfortable stay. Nice swimming pool and garden.

Breakfast was only banana pancakes. I personally didn’t like that. No fruits or eggs offered unfortunately. But you can use the kitchen after breakfast is done and prepare your own.

Nice common area. Our dorm had 5 beds on the main floor and 2 beds on the upper floor so my friend and me stayed upstairs and had a lot of privacy, which was amazing. It gets a bit hot though during the day up there even with the AC on, but I prefer that to a super cold room (which was the case downstairs). There is other dorms at the property which look totally different so your experience may be a different one depending on the dorm they put you in.

I think the facilities need some updating, my charger near the bed didn't work and if your bed is on the top floor it's really hot. Also the kitchen is not very nice, people just take your food because it's not labeled. I think if they put some extra attention this place will become heaven.

Great vibe, nice staff, a lot of places to hang/socialize/chill by yourself, the rooms are quite big and the toilets in the ensuite were huge. Also I loved that t was close tothe center (15 mins walk) but also not in the center, and was easy to get to other places like the yoga and the beaches w/ scooter.

Amazing hostel. Rooms are really cozy and beds very comfortable. The common area is chill and perfect for meeting people and the swimming pool with all the plants around is wow. Such a nice and chill vibe. AND BEST STAFF EVER. I felt like home, thank you so much. Already miss you, hope to see you (and your banana pancakes) soon.

Botchan is the perfect base for travellers of all ages in Kuta Lombok and this is shown by the sheer number of returners and extenders - people really don't want to leave! The dorm rooms are comfortable and there are also a few private rooms if you snap them up quick! You'll bond with new buddies for life over banana pancakes, pool and sometimes very serious volleyball tournaments... Love to Hajir and the team - you guys are the best. I already can't wait to come back asap.✌️

The hostel needs some maintenance, it’s a little run down in places. It would be good to get comfier seating in chill-out/social areas. The fridge is so chaotic there is no where to put your stuff. WiFi in rooms is weak so you have to stand outside if you don’t have 4G. The ensuite bathroom in the dorm is nice but inconvenient when you have to wait your turn with 6-9 others. The electricity plug next to my bed didn’t work at all so I couldn’t charge my phone/turn on my own light for the duration of my stay.

Good location. Surprisingly big and comfortable mattresses/pillows in dorm rooms, spacious dorm rooms and big lockers, friendly and helpful staff, nice to have kitchen facility with free drinking water, tea and coffee and access to make your own food. The hostel was clean overall too.

Everything! This is for sure the best hostel I’ve stayed in! The hostel is beautiful, cleaned all the time, the pool is amazing and all the atmosphere, the staff is great, everyone is really friendly and willing to help in whatever you need, the breakfast is delicious (I miss those pancakes). You have water, coffee and te available all the time. You can rent bikes, tours, surf lessons and more at the reception. Beds are sooo comfortable. You shouldn’t hesitate to stay at bochan, you won’t regreat it. You’ll meet amazing people too!
