Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaThis was one of our fav places to stay in bali. Anytime we go to Ubud, we will stay here. We loved it so much, we changed our plans to come back to stay again. (Try book direct for value!) The staff were so accommodating to any of our requests, and very friendly always smiling & greeting us by names. The gardens were so lovely, with beautiful flowers and green rice fields. They had a yoga area as well. The pool was amazing with heaps of seats around. We had breakfast included and we looked forward to it everyday, food here was delicious and fresh. We felt very safe, the rooms were secure. The wifi was awesome, with different ones for each areas. The rooms were clean, and bathroom was very spacious. Definitely recommend to any couples or families wanting to relax by beautiful scenic views and be close to the cafes, restaurants and monkey forrest.

United KingdomNothing.
Home from home. Your made to feel very welcome here from the second you arrive by the Byasa family. Rooms are very comfortable with great air con and are immaculate. Food is made to order and has a great selection of local delicacies but also caters for a broader palette. A short walk from some great coffee shops and restaurants but yet it feels like your deep in the balinease countryside. Will definitely be back! Thank you Byasa 😁😁

United KingdomI was there during the rainy season, so it did rain very heavily at times, which resulted in some water coming in under the door to my room. For me, it was not a big issue (I actually thought it was quite funny) and the staff kindly provided me with extra towels to create a barrier which worked well. For future guests, my suggestion would be to perhaps create some sort of awning at the end of the corridor to prevent floods? This will also help to extend the 'lifespan' of the towels... Some of them smelt a bit 'musty' at times, but I knew they were perfectly clean, so it wasn't a problem for me. I also understand that the humidity makes drying quite a challenge in Ubud. :)
I absolutely LOVED my time at Byasa! The breakfast was delicious every day, always served with a smile, and it was so lovely to sit outside in the beautiful gardens to eat it. The pool was impeccably clean. I swam almost every day and had the entire pool to myself. It was such a treat. I also enjoyed lounging by the pool, watching the beautiful butterflies and birds in the trees & rice fields. Such wonderful views and it was very peaceful. Even though the street just outside the hotel is quite busy, you would never know. Byasa is like a little slice of calm paradise, away from the hustle and bustle. For me, the location was brilliant - close walking distance to numerous restaurants and cafés. It is about a 20-30min walk into the centre of Ubud, but I love to walk, so it was no problem for me. (Of course, if you hop on a scooter/bike, you're never far from anything.) One of the lovely staff members, Dewik, kindly walked with me to The Yoga Barn to show me the short cut. It's only about a 5-10min walk which was great. My room was huge with an incredibly large, comfortable bed. It was great to have a private balcony and I enjoyed watching the rain and lightening on a few occasions. The zircon was most effective, but I personally preferred having the sliding doors wide open, listening to the sounds of nature. I have to give special thanks to the staff! (Putu, Eka, Dewik, Gidday, Wayan, of course the ladies in the kitchen, Natalia & Nani, who so lovingly made the food... I'm sorry I don't have all the names, because they were all so welcoming and friendly.) They made me feel so welcome and relaxed right from the moment I arrived. As a solo traveller, I can highly recommend staying at Byasa. You will feel completely safe and well looked after. They really do start to feel like your family and I did not want to leave, even after 10 days!

SingaporeFood options could have more varieties for room services, but for 2 days stay is fine, or if you would rather eat out most of the times.
Excellent services. From first check in to final check out, the team would make sure you feel welcomed all the way. We had our anniversary in Bali and they took extra effort in setting up the bed with beautiful petals, etc. The room was quiet with scenic garden view, in addition to the almost private pool. We had a great time with the surrounding nature and took photos of a variety of local birds. The staff also served a surprise birthday treat with the whole team singing the birthday song before serving it.

United KingdomNothing it fitted our needs perfectly.
Fabulous resort with a very private balcony and beautiful view. The staff were exceptionally attentive, Putu and Eka tended to our every need offering free car pick up service to restaurants, laundry, breakfast orders, and anything else we requested. The rooms were large and clean with good aircon. The cafe area was picturesque and peaceful with a morning birdsong call. The food was delicious, especially the Mia Goreng. The location is just off the main high street which we found convenient, especially if you hire a scooter which the hotel offers. The hotel also offers a massage service which was extremely relaxing. We enjoyed it so much we want to come back and visit again.

SlovakiaThis is like an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Super peaceful, you almost don’t believe you are in Ubud 😅 at the same time close to everything! They provide scooter rental and various excursions for a good price👌🏼 the breakfast is delicious (as well as all the food we ordered for dinner to the room, and we ordered a lot due to work), the people are super kind and helpful 🫶🏼 We ended up extending for 2 extra nights. AustraliaThe rice paddies and tranquil surroundings really felt like a paradise tucked away despite it being on a busy road. The property also allowed our driver to drop us off at the lobby as this made it easier when traveling with older parents. The staff were all very polite and made the stay even more wonderful. Highly recommend Byasa Ubud!

SingaporeNothing.
Excellent service from staff who are accommodating and helpful. The room is spacious and clean. I like that it is brightly lit, unlike most hotels that have lighting that's too dim. Toilet is huge too and it's great that there's space at the sink to place your toiletries. Balcony overlooks the beautiful rice fields which is wonderful. Breakfast and tea/snacks are a wonderful addition to the stay. I will surely be back.

Amazing, not the brand new but it’s well maintained sparkling clean and with amazing pool (open all the time), restaurant with great food and away from noise but still 5 min by bike to center. Outside area is super pleasant and stuff… best stuff ever, best care for customers and great communication before and during stay.

United StatesNothing. Everything was amazing.
The breakfast was amazing. The pool was always clean. The room has working a/c and has many amenities/toiletries. When initially looking to book Byasa, I was skeptical due to all the high ratings. I could only think, “This can’t be right. No place is THIS good.” Well, I’m here to tell you it IS as good as everyone else has said. I was in Bali a total of 2 weeks, in many places, and this is the best place I’ve stayed, probably ever! The team is so sweet and helpful! You truly are family to them. When I told them some kiosk scammed me and took my money, they got Pande (owner) involved, and long story short (skipping the juicy details), I got my money back! I’m not sure if Pande believes in past lives as Hindus do, but I believe he was a Mexican woman in his past life! That’s coming a short Mexican woman, myself! IYKYK. Stay here, I promise you won’t regret it. The place is within walking distance to MANY places in Ubud and so many great restaurants around.
