Maybe air conditioning could work better, it’s quite loud when you want to sleep.

The air on in the room was not working very well, the room was pretty hot during the day. The breakfast could be improved.. we did not like it very much.

Great place, the pool is amazing and the room is nice and clean. The staff was welcoming and willing to help. The area is nice and you can get everywhere by bike.

We LOVED our stay at Captain Coconuts! This is one of those magic places that are worth a trip in itself. The vibe is super laid back, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the space is beautiful and the food is finger-licking good! Despite being only a couple of minutes away from the (gorgeous) beach, most guests seemed happy to lounge around the pool. Completely understandable! The rooms are cleaned daily and the included breakfast is delicious. For us, this is THE place to stay when in Gili Air.

The food is not the best. Not many options to choose from. The water pressure in the room is very low and the towels smells too.

Little privacy in the dorms, since ita’s all open. The beds are hanging, so they move.

There is nothing we didn't like at this accommodation.

In August last we stayed with our family at Captain Coconuts. WOW is an understatement. What a magnificent and tranquilo place to be (on a very nice part of the island)! And such a lovely staff! They arranged everything we asked for (bicycles, snorkle trip, e.g.). We stayed for two nights in the family villa and we spent two nights in two 1-bedroom villa's. Everything at this place is maintained very well and it is very clean. The food is very healthy... but don't forget to taste the chocochip cookies :-) We really recommend this accommodation if you go to this island.

The prayers woke me up everyday at 5ish but there’s nothing they can do with it, obviously!

The staff at captain coconuts really makes you feel like home! The pool area is amazing and you can buy something at the bar and just chill there. The banana pancakes from the breakfast are yummy!

Expensive, not very social hostel. Because there is one dorm where everybody sleeps and then there are villas where families and couples sleep. So weird mix of travellers that do not mix with eachother. Staff was not unfriendly but also not super welcoming.

This place is paradise! The pool is amazing, the staff are lovely and helpful. So sad that it was fully booked so I couldn't extend my stay. So relaxed and calm, swinging beds are a nice addition.

as we came from Bali we were unaware that there were religious chants, one of them being every day at 4h/5h in the morning and transmitted through megaphones for almost an hour. We stayed two nights and two nights that were very poorly slept.

the space is super cute, the pool and the outdoor space too. we stayed in a little house for two, super romantic and beautiful. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good.

- the wifi was unfortunately really bad and I couldn't do the things I planned.. Just a few suggestions to improve =) : - wifi - my locker door could close but still was to be fixed - better / more sunbeds around the pool for everyone - better / more cushions and comfy seats to chill

I came here 5 years ago for a whole week and I loved it so much I made a special detour on my trip to come back specifically to Captain Coconuts.. and I was so happy to see it was as beautiful and special than before covid! Same family team as well and same delicious food ! Loved the pool, the suspended bed and the design as much as before and will stay in my top 10 best hostels for sure !

Favourite hostel so far! The staff were so kind and helpful. When I lost my phone they went the extra mile to help me find it. I wanted to extend my stay, but they were fully booked! Such a chill, relaxing place with incredible food, nice staff and brilliant swaying beds. Good size lockers too. Easy to rent bikes.

Apart from the swinging beds, the bamboo floor is very noisy in the dorms when people are walking around and also makes the bed move every time. As there is no walls in the dorm all outside noise is very loud i.e. the mosque noise and nearby bar music

I personally really did not like the sensation of the swinging beds but the staff were very accommodating to this and put my bed on the floor instead :)
