The place can be noisy as the hotel's used by a lot of young Javanese students who appear to be attending conferences/events. The one thing about the building that seems to have been skimped on is the soundproofing, so earplugs are useful. Calling the fridge in the room a 'minibar' is misleading and should be changed as alcohol isn't permitted in the hotel.

Choska is in a quiet backstreet in an otherwise manic part of the city. It's stylish, with good facilities (including a lift). The common areas are great and the roof terrace is a real oasis (even though the rooftop cafe isn't open). My windowless room was comfy with plenty of space and ideal for my needs. The staff were friendly and helpful and keep the place very clean. Breakfast is provided via vouchers valid at an interesting cafe across the road. The hotel will look after your luggage after checkout, which is helpful. I'd certainly consider staying here again.

I love how strategic it is as it is located only less than 1km to malls like Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Thamrin City and Tanah Abang. It has everything in a room, so it is convenient. The rooftop is definitely the highlight of the stay: it is so BEAUTIFUL especially at night. It comes with breakfast too, what a catch with such affordable price. I stayed twice here, when we needed to have a place to stay before going to Bandung, and the next one is when we were back again in Jakarta, quite satisfied with both experiences.

Breakfasts could improve.

A couple of breakfasts were ok but... Had a drink there ('budgeegur') - the best. Staff helpful and really polite. Bed matress hard...not very comfortable.

We booked into the hotel late at night on the day of our arrival and the staff were very accommodating. The room was immaculately made up and very clean. We felt very comfortable in the hotel for the duration of our stay. The cafe at the hotel is very nice for a relaxed coffe, offering impressive views of the surrounding area. The staff even kept our bags safe after we checked out as we had a late flight.

The rooms lack window.

The staff is very helpful, very clesn ideal size room, except minor improvement of thr pillow may be needed. Out side you find many matkets, central jakarta town 5 minutes from Choska is very attractive, you can find foods like checken, pig, fish, different other food items with relatively acceptable cost.
