Communication with the hotel ahead of the stay was at times a bit challenging. They offer a nice range of activities and I think it would be great to be aware of that even before arrival.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cicada Resort. The rooms are very large, modern and comfortable. We had a private pool overlooking the green - which was absolutely amazing. The hotel offered free afternoon tea, and water in the room. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. For breakfast we were able to order from the menu - which was fine. There were plenty of different options. The hotel is quite remote - and we enjoyed the quiet location.

Everything was perfect, and the staff was so friendly. Especially Mr. Lalu, who was always around to make sure every guest was enjoying their time at the hotel! I can’t say enough good things about the hotel and the management, I truly look forward to going back!

The service in the room was a bit slow. The room toiletries weren't replaced even once during our 5 day stay. The worst part about the property is it's location which is quite far from the main centres of Ubud. But having said that, will probably choose the property for a future stay owing to the other positive factors.

We liked the villa room where we were staying. It had a lovely view overlooking lush green forests and a relatively quiet relaxing ambience (save and except some loud guests in neighbouring villas). We enjoyed our swims in the heated pool and the early morning outdoor coffee and breakfast by our villa pool. The property isn't very large but it is quite beautiful. Climbing the several stairs to our room several times a day seemed daunting, but we managed to find several coves for resting, relaxing and photographing on our way up and down :) The multi-levelled architecture possibly adds a dimension to the aesthetic appeal of the property. The front-desk and restaurant staff was generally very hospitable and welcoming. Barring a few disconcerting moments at the time of check-in, they were fantastic. Thanks to them for making special complementary arrangements for my wife's birthday.

Nothing to complain about . It will be best if you need to relax in the resort and enjoy facilities. But in case you are going for daily activities I would recommend to go to another hotel more close to the city

We stayed in the deluxe villa, the stay was amazing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming that you would feel they will carry you. The room was clean and they paid attention even to the smallest details. The private pool is temperature controlled and warm . Absolutely everything. Cicada is like a dream come true for those who want a peaceful experience in the heart of a authentic Ubud Forest/jungle with stunning views and many facilities. The food was outstanding whether it be the breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed at Villa 01 which had a private pool and it was stunning, super clean, modern with a beautiful finish. The staff were amazing. I can’t remember all the names but to all who we met ( I remember Adi who was brilliant) thank you so much for such heartwarming time. We could not ask for more. They were extremely polite, always serving with you smiles and always helpful with anything you need. I must give credit to where credit is due, this resort is somewhere I can return to happily knowing I will be taken care of. I noticed some comments regarding staff “pressuring” guests however that is not the case. They are being polite and just making conversation with no ill intentions. Good staff makes a big difference when staying at resorts and hotels, I can definitely say these staff members made our time there even better. The Spa was beautiful, me and my husband had a couple spa on our second to last day which was delightful and relaxing to say the least. All the pools and jacuzzis were lovely and clean and not a busy overlooking a stunning view of the forest. I could continue writing forever if I’m honest but the best word to describe our experience at cicada luxury resort overall would be perfection.

The pool was closed for maintenance on the first day of our trip and we were not informed until we arrived, which was disappointing. In addition, the food quality, temperature, choices and menu need improvements. Most food at breakfast and dinner was cool or cold when served. In addition, the breakfast menu setup could be better as the dishes you order all arrive at different times, so you can't enjoy the food together, instead just random dishes separately.

The staff and the views make this a perfect stay in paradise! The cultural elements, too, we absolutely loved, e.g. the traditional Balinese dancing and music at breakfast and dinner. Every member of staff is polite and friendly and will do everything they can to help you and make your stay perfect. We would 100% recommend this hotel and hope to be back. The views are to die for and the trips and entertainment offered are brilliant.

I had an amazing time at Cicada Ubud. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful property and the warm welcome from the staff. They were always available to assist with any request, making my stay very comfortable. I also learned that Cicada will soon be part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection, which is very exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing how they will continue to improve under this new affiliation. A must-visit destination in Ubud!

Staying at Cicada Ubud was a delightful experience. The property is a true gem, offering a peaceful retreat with excellent amenities. The staff are incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring that every need is met. I'm excited to hear that Cicada will be joining the Marriott's Autograph Collection this year. Some areas of the grounds feel a bit like they're still under construction but it's a fact the hotel is only a year old so they can't make plants grow faster.

Everything! I've stayed all over the world and this is honestly one of the best hotels I've been to. The staff make the difference with such a personal service and helpful attitude. So many small details in the room like different biscuits every day. Breakfast is just incredible with such an amazing choice of original dishes. Generally an experience filled with small details that made it very special.

The breakfast was amazing. So many options which were all delicious and beautiful prepared and presented. We loved the afternoon tea and sunrise cocktail experiences which were all served by friendly knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to make our stay amazing!

We didn’t sleep very well, only because we could hear a lot of people shouting into the early hours 2 out of the 3 nights that we were there. My partner tried to go outside to see what the noise was but couldn’t make out if it was staff or other guests. There were also a lot of moving furniture noises into the early hours, again, we couldn’t make out if it was staff or other guests, we thought maybe staff as the language being spoken, the only thing that let the stay down.

The room was amazing, clean, modern and great little extras, this was a lovely touch! The pool area is nice and calm as most rooms have their own pool so not many people use the main pool which means it’s lovely to relax. The food, wow. The food is amazing, breakfast options are fantastic, afternoon tea lovely and dinner was also special, though if not all inclusive, expensive!
