Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI think that the cafe there is way over priced as a beer and coffee are comparable to Australian prices. Step outside into Anchol and there are plenty of examples of realistic pricing. Walls a very thin and in general a little run down.
The property by western standards shows signs of old age but is still functional and from our experience largely caters for locals and some Chinese. It was quite cheap to stay there.

IndiaLocated inside Ancol and every single time you enter Ancol, you have to pay a fee per person for not sure what. I had to go in an out of the Ancol multiple times and every single time I had to pay a fee which was not told to me by the hotel.

IndonesiaThe building looks a bit old school. The lift does not have access so that all people can go use elevator without having their access, it’s a bit insecure. I thought mercure is 4 stars hotel and they would probably give us a welcome drink, but the welcome drink is only for accor silver member.
i like the staffs are friendly and there are lots of spaces to hang out at their garden its nice for family to hang out with kids. They do have small football field and there is also the common swimming pool

NetherlandsI really get disappointed with the gate access to the hotel , we need to pay a extra money every time wile go out side the are of hotel, this is really costly for us as a guest hotel, and also is not clear from the booking.com at all about this, and also the hotel is not informed the guest about this, i think this is really It is very surprising and makes me feel very funny and unreasonable, when we are hotel guests we have to pay extra every time we go in and out of the hotel area where we are staying. I hope booking.com and the hotel will discuss about this in future.

United KingdomThe light in the room was not bright enough and the furnitures including the wooden floor appeared to be old and a bit run-down compared to other Mercure hotel, no rug was there as displayed on the picture and other facilities like hand-soap was not provided. Only two towels was given whereas I paid for three guest including my son. So many mosquitoes in the lobby area.
Room was very big, breakfast was great and location was good for family who would like to spend time around ancol during holidays. We will come again as my son loves the waterpark, but hope some of the comments can be addressed!

United Statesthis hotel is located in Ancol, which we didn’t know is like a theme park. so the entrance for Ancol comes with a separate fee of 25.000IDR which does not comes with any of the hotel booking (not sure about other resorts). it was not mentioned anywhere until i was stucked at the entrance, being asked to pay for the entrance fee. and yes, everytime you go in and out you are paying for the entrance fees for Ancol! most ehailing or taxis company don’t cover this, so you have to pay extra for vehicles to go in! when asked during check in, staff was so defensive and saying that my stay doesn’t cover the barcode for free entrance. next day when i checked again with different staff, he explained that all the guests are not covered because mercure and ancol are separate entities. so there you go! if you want to stay at mercure i would suggest looking at different location than inside Ancol.
the location was good with our concert that is at the JIS. breakfast complementary had a lot of choices, and some of the staff (room service and house keeping) are friendly and nice.

NetherlandsBecause the restaurant on the first floor was full, we were asked to go to the second floor. That was messy. Tables were not cleaned after a person finished his breakfast, so you were seated on a dirty table. The manager is not customer oriënted, the only English he speaks is "No" and "Sorry". Every time you enter the hotel area you have to pay an entrance fee. The hotel explanation is: the management of Ancol is different from the management of the hotel. I think this is bs. Surely they can arrange some pass, Grab cars have that kind of pass already. The bed sheets were dirty. The were immediately replaced with other sheets. These were dirty too.
If you want to see Ancol this is a good location. The hotel is clean. The hotel has his own swimming pool. The breakfast on the second day (on the first floor) was very good.
