Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

East TimorWe really enjoyed our stay there. The staff and the owner were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel building is a renovated fishermen house, it is really beautiful. It has a view of the harbor which is perfect for sunsets! Great location as well!

AustraliaOnly windows in room looked out on to communal areas so you had to have blinds down making it very dark. Cheap uncomfortable pillows and bedding.
OK value for money, staff were informative and friendly. Nice common areas to eat and relax, and nice breakfast and coffee. Short walk away from the main tourist area, nice to be in an area with locals. Staff were great with organising early breakfast and letting us take towels for tours.

BelgiumThe swimming pool is just to cool down. This place is a great spot, but they should half the price that they ask.

PolandWe were given a different room than the one we booked, without any prior notice before check-in. Although we received a cash refund for the difference in room prices, I feel that the overall cost is a bit too high for the surroundings. Additionally, we could hear the early morning prayers from outside.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was tasty and simple.

ChinaThey didn't provide me the right room type I booked and paid, even after I arrived, after they made a very detailed orientation to me for the whole facility, no one wanted to mention anything about my room was changed. Only after I opened the room door, went inside and found out by myself,,, they gave me an answer like it was because of the bug of booking.com... So they put me to room No.5 downstairs instead of upstairs with terrace (the one I booked), but this No.5 had very poor signal even for my mobile, I couldn't make any phone call inside the room! First whole night no WiFi no internet, the answer was there was an erro.... After 1st night my neck back side got some pimples. They were itchy, I thought it might be mosquito bites... after 3 nights I changed to upstairs room, my leg back side got same problem again when I woke up. Then I have to double it was because of some bugs from the bed.
The way to help ourselves to make coffee and book breakfast making me feel like at home. The view from terrace feels relaxing. It's in a quiet area but a hostel nearby played loud music at night.

SpainRoom a little dark. Ventilator fan in bathroom goes directly into someone's family living space and sucks through every single noise so it sounds like the family next door are literally in your room. Baby crying 5am, hens clucking, food chopping, music playing - loud enough to wake you up. Generally a lively and noisy neighbourhood with kids in the street, locals have a karaoke on the street, play card games etc. It can be humours, culturally rich and interesting, or annoyingly loud - depending on your mood and need for sleep! Room was not cleaned and beds not made during my three-day stay. Pool much smaller than I expected. I love animals and the kittens were so cute. Just not sure it's good hygiene to let the cats sleep on the table where the coffee cups etc are. Not the hotel's fault but sadly there is a huge amount of trash and plastic festering on the water's edge. the stench of the water by the nearby footbridge is awful. You can't smell it from the hotel, but you have to walk past it daily. Shame the locals don't take more pride in their local area - especially as it's the gateway to a protected park.
Pre-arrival communication excellent. Important as it's not possible to drive up to the hotel. Staff friendly. Rooms basic but adequately comfy. Breakfast OK. They will try and cater for vegans. Lovely sunset view from upper terrace. Very real and authentic neighbourhood and local people, which has its pros and cons. 10-min walk into town for diving/boat trips etc. Good restaurants nearby. A/C.

United StatesAs I’m allergic to cats and dogs I wasn’t happy they let each lounge on all the furniture in the dining and common areas. Upon arrival on red flag was a sign saying “dog in training”. Don’t touch. We’ll I was attacked by their dog. It didn’t bite me but it sure looked and barked like it was about to. Also the toilet needed fixing. I would not recommend this place unless they got rid of the dog.
Price, pool, good breakfast.
