The place is a nice and relaxing compound surrounding a nice Hindu temple. The entire unit was nice, clean, and stayed true to the photos. The host family gave us a very pleasant and warm welcome with fresh fruit drinks and cakes. They were also very accommodating with our late breakfast schedule request since we planned to go for the sunrise trekking of Mt. Batur. They offered a variety of breakfast options from usual omelettes and pancakes to nasi goreng and mie goreng which were filling enough as our lunch when we came back from the hike. The "breakfast" also included a variety of fruit juices or a platter of mixed fruits per person aside from tea or coffee. We may have had a quite short period of stay here considering our ferry delays from Gili Trawangan to Padang Bai and traffic upon approaching Ubud, but we slept very well that our tiredness from travelling all day was relieved after a few hours of sleep. We were refreshed and ready to go on the hike despite the 2:30am pick-up. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay and wish we could've stayed longer. Great value for what we paid. Will definitely book this place again when the opportunity comes.

Perfect location. The local family running the homestay is very kind and warm-hearted. The room is basic as in picture, super clean, and a very good Indonesian / Western-style breakfast is included. Could easily communicate your needs via whatsapp. In my opinion, best price-quality ratio for homestay in Ubud center

the roosters are noisy in the morning so this place isn’t good for people who are light, late sleepers.

It’s in a calm, domestic setting so you don’t hear any cars or scooters. the family is very friendly. this place is an excellent value for the low price.

I was a little concerned that the doors don't close all the way (there is a bit of a gap and I was afraid lizards or bugs would get in) but this didn't prove to be a problem at all.

Where to start with this homestay! I've never felt more welcomed in Bali than when I stayed at Suntari Homestay. Upon my first 10 minutes of arriving here, I was invited to a local festival called Melasti and the owner drove me (for free!) to a nearby laundromat to get my laundry done. Afterwards, he drove me all the way to Campuhan Ridgewalk (again, for free and even bought me water) and even hiked the whole way with me. Staying here is like being with family: You are always greeted when you go in and out, asked about your day, etc. The room was extremely clean and felt new, and the breakfast was so tasty!! Highly recommend the omelet and banana pancakes. Nyoman went above and beyond with making me feel at home and even taught me some Indonesian words. The family lent us traditional costumes for the festival as well and even made us dinner since we got home quite late. I would definitely come back just for the family love!

Room was spacious, spotless and exactly as advertised. The terrace was a lovely place to have breakfast each morning too! The breakfast was delicious each day and there is loads to choose from. An amazing family with a great place to stay - they helped us rent a motorbike and sort our laundry too. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them! It’s in a great location to explore Ubud.

Everything was great from the day I arrived. It’s crazy that I experienced maximum comfort with low price. The owner was lovely, they took care of me as a solo traveler, never feel lonely even for a second. I ended up extend my stay in Suntari Homestay up to one week. Best decision ! :)

The breakfast selections are really good - you can opt from anything like fruits or eggs to toast and fried noodles. Juices are freshly made. You can choose different breakfast options for each day. Sitting outside right in front of the garden is a lovely way to start your day. The room and compound are really clean and the garden is beautifully lush with flowers and plants - love it! Peaceful and serene neighbourhood a few minutes walk to the main street. The whole family is really kind and welcoming, and made me enjoy my stay a lot. As I was able to converse in the local language, it was a lot of fun chatting with Ayu, her sister and her father. I was very honoured to be invited to join the Kuningan festival at the pura/temple. Thank you Pak.
