Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandAt first, no water came out of our room at all. We reported the problem and it was fixed, but the hot water only came rarely. Our room was dirty, with stains on the sheets and holes in the towels. The biggest shortcoming was definitely that there was no insect net on the bed. The room was full of ants and spiders so a net would have been necessary. I have travelled a lot in Bali and this was the first and hopefully the last accommodation without an insect net. As it was a long walk from the room to reception, there was a phone in the room to call if you wanted to order food, for example. However, the phone didn't work, the staff said they would bring a new phone but it never arrived. So every time we had to climb up to the reception if we needed a phone, we had to call the reception. The staff's English was poor and they seemed a bit out of touch. Simple things like the wifi password were not known by everyone and had to be asked several times before we got the right password. The food was not very good and coffee was not included in the breakfast and had to be ordered separately.
The scenery was stunning. There were hardly any other guests in the hotel, it felt like we were the only ones there.

SwedenUnfortunately it already felt off from the moment I arrived, I would have given it a 1.0 rating if not for the staff who tried their best. It was not relaxing at all. Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception, needed to hit the gong to get someone to come up the stairs. Receptionist spoke very little English. When it was time to go to the room, we realised that there were so many steps of stairs to get around the whole place and this was not ideal with two older people in my family. Definitely would not have worked if someone was on crutches or wheelchair. We booked the 2-bedroom villa and only realised there that there was no air-con in the rooms. The temperature was not a problem, generally felt quite cooling, but the moisture was an issue. Everything felt moist in the rooms - some towels that were neatly folded up had some moisture in them and therefore smelt weird and had some yellow growth on them. The bed had a blanket on it and it felt very moist when I slipped between the blanket and the bed. For one bedroom, the toilet was right behind the bed, in the same room, which was weird. The other bedroom had an open-air bathroom with the toilet outside, so it was better separation-wise. However, the open-air bathroom meant you would be using it with all the insects. Also, the shower had a strange way of dispensing water that made it difficult to shower properly. I did not use the bathtub at all as I did not want to have unpleasant surprises hopping into a bath with me. Most of the staff did not have a good grasp of English, and they guessed what we wanted based on context and their limited vocabulary. They really did try their best. Some of their uniforms were dirty when we arrived and made them look a bit unprofessional. Overall, the facilities were poorly maintained - water was pooling at legs of tables and chairs, green moss was growing on many surfaces, the pavilions was crawling with insects and could not be used, surfaces looked and felt dirty.
The staff tries to be as helpful and accommodating as possible, they helped us to carry our luggage up and down the many steps of stairs. The pool overlooking the rice fields and forest nearby had a superb view.

Saudi ArabiaExcept view of the hotel and pool that rest is worthless, staff not friendly, no one in charge in the hotel, no management, no receptionist, only few people in kitchen and garden. Food is not enough as international cuisine, only few options and taste not acceptable at all. Please find another hotel to stay in that’s not worth it at all. Worst experience in our life

IndiaIt’s in nature, which calls for all sorts of insects and lizards living around. They could do some basis maintenance, ensure honeybee’s and lizards are not around so it safe and hygienic. Room lighting needs improvement.

HungaryThe services and the restaurant are horrible bad and vers expensive. You can only buy small waters from them AND we figured out that these small glass bottles were used several times, the safety seal in almost every bottle were opened. Our villa was not in good shape, during the night birds came in our our and stole the tissues from the bathroom, we laughed about it because its funny and nice, but on the other hand the birds also pooped to the floor. We stayed two nights here, they forget the cleaning. Ordered an ice coffe then gave me an americano. In the afternoon they had no milk in the bar. The sunbeds were extremely dirty, the towels were smelly and I could list more. During our holiday we stayed in 5 other places in Bali, it was the most expensive and maybe the worst.
The view and the location is awesome.

IndiaThe place is full of insects and lizards crawling all over the bedroom, washroom and restaurant. The open bathroom is an open bathroom with bathtub and is very scary with frogs and insects, you can see the view of the bathroom from another balcony. No proper lighting in the bedroom and resort, we had to use a torch during the day time as well. Food is ok ok not many options, we ordered pizza and the bacon had a foul smell. We got up at 6.30 in the morning as there was no water, so I had to search the entire property for some hotel staff who could help me. After an hour I called the phone number on their website and then asked them about the issue with the water.
Only the location was excellent, however it's very far from the Citi centre. It's like you are in the middle of nowhere.

AustraliaThe villas are located in the jungle so you will encounter some reptiles, amphibians and insects. Although being in the mountains, their numbers aren't enough to affect the enjoyment of the villas.
The villa was clean and well decorated. A lot of thought went into the design, giving the right balanced between luxury outdoor living while also having all the familiar modern amenities. The landscaping of the property is breath taking, you really feel like you're in the jungle without all the negatives associated with it - the landscape is manicured and easily traversable. The food at the restaurant was a delight, every morning we were filled with excitement, and would rush to the restaurant to enjoy our breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and jumped at any opportunity to help us. Bali is often viewed as a desirable destination, Adiwana Dara Ayu makes travelling to Bali ever the more desirable!

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were in awe, the stone path through the jungle and ponds leads to the hotel restaurant and the famous pool. The staff was 10/10 very friendly guys who helped us with the suitcases. We lived in a villa with a private pool and it was amazing: the first time I saw a bath, which is located in a fish pond and surrounded by jungle, it's just incredible. A couple of times we had problems: once the phone rang due to a breakdown and another huge insect sat on the canopy. Manager Su helped to solve all the problems as quickly as possible. He is just a wonderful and very responsive guy. The pool is clean and beautiful. I think that the place is definitely unparalleled. The complex itself is small and made very intimately. Almost always we swam in the pool alone. It was cool!

AustraliaBreakfast options were very limited. The worst part was our room (Utari) is just three meters away from a local farmer’s hut. Apparently he had some disagreements with the hotel and took it on us. He blasted very loud music at around 5am. Reported to the security but they couldn’t do anything. Staff was nice enough to offer us to switch room, however the other available rooms would be a downgrade for us and they didn’t offer any compensation.

AustraliaIgnore all the poor reviews at your peril. The Adiwana Ayu has spectacular views, perhaps even better than the nearby Banyan Tree but sadly the positives stop there. Attention to detail makes a great hotel and this hotel misses it badly in its quality of service, cleanliness, facilities, fittings and food. We chose to stay here based on the idyllic photos and its remoteness. Sadly the photos don't tell the whole story and your own transport is required to seek alternative dining options.

AustraliaThe whole place was very run down, very quiet and room was quite old. Room had bugs in it, covers on bed was dirty, and walls weren’t clean. There weren’t any power points next to our beds only one in the closet room and one near our window. We were told our room was on the first level which is completely fine, what we weren’t told about was our bathroom which was completely outside, this was a hassle as it was mostly raining in our trip so the bathroom was always wet or had many insects and animals which made us uncomfortable to go outside. This room also had very thin walls which we could hear other staff and guests around us. The way to get down to the rooms was quite annoying to do every time, even though me and my partner are easy to get around places, it wasn’t very accessible to get to. It is a rocky trail in a jungle setting. Slippery especially when it’s raining. Staff and service were amazing, although food was average.
loved how scenic the villas were
