Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property is beautiful. It has an amazing sea view. The location is great. There is a resort very nearby for evening meals and pool use. Eyki is a fantastic host, she is so lovely and helpful. Her family made me feel very welcome. I would love to go back.

United Stateslike everyone else, I suppose I should mention it is close to a mosque and the early morning call to prayer might bother some people, but not me.
Very comfortable, super clean, a gorgeous view and wonderful hosts. Greeted every morning with a smile and a tasty breakfast. Good location for the dive shops and the owner hooked me up with a dive shop where her brother worked. He was super nice guy. Worked out great.

United Statespay attention to which pier you arrive and from which you leave. you will need a taxi to get the heavy luggage in/out but you can easily walk to the village and back afterwards
the views from the room are fantastic - overlooking the harbor. very friendly host, both of them speak English well. air conditioner worked great, no mosquitoes in the room. there was fridge and TV. good WiFi everywhere. very comfortable bed. the host helped organizing full day tour with the private driver. very good breakfast ( fried rice was our favorite) on a map it looks far from the pier / village but there is a pass by the water, so we were able to walk to the village (5 min walk). everything is very close (within 5-7 min walk): the boats that take you for snorkeling, the local market to buy fruit, the massage places. Supermarket is 10-15 min walk away but that is fine as there is not much you need to buy there. property has a nice restaurant, very reasonably priced and she is a great cook. you can buy water at the property, same price as in town. room was clean, good water pressure for the shower

Germanyactually nothing but you have to know that there is a mosque nearby.
The family is very friendly and helpful. They help you, if you want to rent a scooter, if you want to do a diving trip, if you want to do a snorkeling trip.... They do everything that you have a great vacation. And also the food is very delicious. For breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. If you want you get every day a fresh fish, which the husband catches.

United Kingdomwater pressure can be a bit low at times but I guess that’s a common thing on the island
Very clean and comfortable, cosy room with a great view and exceptional hosts. Very close to Toyapakeh village, just a couple of meters walk on the beach. The hosts will assist with everything and take care of your luggage. Also really enjoyable food - great fresh fish and Eykis breakfast potato omelette is the best omelette I’ve ever eaten :) also - If you are missing a pool, there is a great one 50m next door that you can use if you buy a drink ;) we really enjoyed it and would really recommend to stay there!

AustraliaIt's imperative you have a driver as getting around is near impossible due to the way the roads (which are very rough) are mapped. What looks like a 5 minute walk is a 15 minute car ride. Also any hotels on the east side will be awoken very early most mornings over a speaker for "call to prayer"
The view from the balcony was lovely any time of day.

United Arab EmiratesRoom smells of moth balls which I'm not a fan of. Mosque is frequent and loud but we didn't mind so much. Shower floor is full of water after each shower so you need to mop up after You need a car ride from and to ferry if you have heavy bags. Host took us for 150IDR. If you rent a scooter you'd need to leave it parked at the harbour as road to Villa is not an easy drive and very steep Hills. You really need a driver or scooter if you wish to explore island.
View is spectacular. Easier to walk via Beach to get to town in 4mins. Roads were poor so too dangerous for inexperienced scooter driver. Host helped us plan our snorkel trip which was great. Breakfast was very good, pancakes, rice, noodles, Omlette choice.
