Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

PolandThere isn’t enough sun beds on the beach. The biggest issue however was with the family villa which was according to booking.com a 120m villa for 4 people. When we arrived it turned out that there are two rooms totally not separated from each other (only a wall stoping in the middle- not reaching the celling). One room was a pass-through room, so there was no privacy at all! I went back to the reception and said that this was not how the room was described and I received an answer that we should have looked closer at the pictures (!!!). After my reply I was told that we can cancel the booking of this villa and get a full refund - which was not really a good solution of 9 friends traveling together. At the end we somehow managed this situation, but for some of us this stay was not that private as we thought it would be. Nonetheless we all left happy and rested - hence the 9 for a bad description of the villa.
The houses (villas) are located close to the beach. The houses are rather dark inside but, on the other hand you don’t stay in the house during your stay in Gili! There is a swimming pool located at the premises of the villas. The food was very good and the service at the restaurant was amazing!

United KingdomEverything was great
Such a beautiful resort, I absolutely loved the design of the room it had such a lovely feel and the bed was amazing. Lots of beautiful details in the room and such a great location, so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was great and the staff were all really lovely and helpful. The location isn't the easiest to get to as you have to cycle or walk through the middle of the island if you're coming from the main strip, but worth it if you want peace and quiet and are happy for a bit of a longer journey in (about 15 mins, a bit tricky cycling back at night because it's so dark, but I always felt really safe and a few locals guided me one night, so helpful!). Cycle around to the sunset side as well (left from Desa Dunia) it is a really nice trip along the beach that way too.

United States45 minute walk to town but if property was any closer, would not be the quiet oasis it is. This is not a criticism but a feature of the hotel.
Beautiful, spacious custom bungalows. Beachfront property on north side of Gili T away from the noise and crowds. Excellent staff. Very clean property and beach. Food excellent. Staff attentive without being intrusive.

AustraliaCould do with offering some snorkelling masks. Sometimes they ran out of bikes for the guests.
location was great with snorkelling right outside the resort. It was also far enough away from the noisy backpacker resorts but close enough to pedal into town or stroll to other bars/restaurants & snorkelling locations. The resort bar was the perfect spot for breakfast, evening cocktails & turtle spotting. Staff were always friendly

AustraliaNothing…loved everything and everyone!
Absolutely everything! The location was perfect…overlooking the ocean, in a lovely spot on the island with great views of the sunset. So lovely and quiet - although all parts of the island were beautiful, I think there’s benefit in being a bit removed from the action in the main area, particularly once the tourism numbers pick up. That said, it was a ton of fun on the main strip, what with all of the boats and craziness of pedestrians, horses and carts and bicycles sharing the roadway. It isn’t too far or difficult to get there from Desa Dunia Beda - a casual walk or bike ride through the interior laneways (might be a bit difficult at night…we never tried that) or along the paved beachfront was always a pleasure and not a chore. Our bungalow was beachfront, so the sound of the waves was soothing - blissful for sleeping at night and lying on the daybed on the veranda for an afternoon read (or snooze). The traditional styling added to the whole effect. We loved that the bungalows and facilities were well spaced from each other, adding to the sense of privacy. The facilities in the bungalow were spot on - tea/coffee making facilities; bar fridge, air conditioning and ceiling fan; ample supply of towels for the bathroom and beach, and the huge bed was comfortable with a lovely view to wake up to each day. Everything was spotless. The wifi worked for us at all times throughout the room and the resort. The pool had a deck and shaded areas with sun beds - another perfect spot to laze away an hour or two. The restaurant and relaxation area on the beach was a spot where we spent many hours. The food was great so we ate there every night (and usually a lunch/afternoon snack too…it was so easy having everything on our doorstep). Our breakfast was delivered to our bungalow. We did sample a couple of other places on the island for a snack but although they too were very nice, the resort restaurant always won. Nothing else could ever beat the stays with (double!

United KingdomSome of the rooms are very dark wood so quite dark inside, set right back off the beach front, up a very bumpy path which was difficult to walk on. Our room was the last one up the path and backed onto a private villa who decided to have a loud party at 2-4 am. It wasn’t the hotels fault, but it spoiled our stay, then building work at 8 am which meant we didn’t get much sleep. Personally I also didn’t like the outside bathroom and toilet what were entered via a big wooden door and steep couple of steps. Difficult in the night when going to the toilet. We had booked for 5 nights but left after 1, the hotel were very accommodating and didn’t charge us for anything more than the one night. Nice staff.
Nice location and setting

AustraliaThe space of the family cottage was awesome. Big and great architecture. The downside to the space was that they need great air-conditioning and lighting. The fact that the space is open in places makes it even more imperative to have stronger air-conditioning .The gaps need to be sealed and the lighting needs to change. If the prices are to be justified the room and the resort it self needs to spend some of money it charges into things thought to be basic for that price. I also stayed at four other properties in Bali during the trip ,and found them to all have good air-conditioning (except from another in Nusa penida). Bali and Gilli T are hot and when one is travelling with family one appreciates these comforts. The location is fantastic and a short ten minute walk on wither side will take you to all that Gilli T has to offer including, some great snorkelling food ,bars and music.
Breakfast and food and staff were all fantastic.

Francethe staff at check-out even didn’t bother to say goodbye or thank you. he wasn’t very friendly. i had to complain during my stay about bicycle rental and he wasn’t really concerned about my issue. also, the staff at the Beach side is not really proactive. They mostly seating close to the bar and waiting for guests to walk to them to make an order. while it should be them to go around and ask for what Customer would need. regarding the joglo House, if you’re more than 170cm, which is standard size for western, your Head will constantly hit the lamp from your way to the joglo to the shower area. disturbing Especially at night.
Garden and trees are amazing. The joglo House is so beautiful. staff at checkin was very friendly and kind. the housekeeping is very proactive, they cleaned twice my joglo and always open and close curtains for us. i loved the shower area with Stone wall and floor.

United KingdomHaving to go down steps to the bathroom which is outside at night. The wooden door to the bathroom was very cumbersome to open and close, as well as noisy. No mosi nets on any windows so difficult to air. Although a lot of lamps the lighting in the rooms were insufficient. A little step to climb up onto the bed would be useful. Tge villas are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There also is not a wellness centre as advertised. External masseurs are brought in if you wish and you can have a massage in one of the gazebos by the pool on cushions from a sun bed- not very comfortable and more costly. The place is genera nice but feels a bit tired.
Lovely big rooms/villas, very well spread out. Quiet and peaceful. Helpful staff.
