I will definitely miss this place. It felt more like home than a hostel. They will take care of you and the environment is amazing, chill and safe. They also offer transportation, food at any time, laundry… so you don’t need to worry about anything.

Really beautiful big house with a beautiful garden. Clean, comfortable with big rooms. Everybody from the stuff was helpful and kind. Breakfast ( not included ) really good. You can rent the scooter there and organize activities.

I have traveled to all continents and experienced hundreds of different hostels and I can tell you that this is by far my favorite. A huge thanks to Dedi, Putu and all the people working there thanks to whom I felt like at home, a second home. I’ve been in many hostels in my life, and I have to say that so far this is the best one!! I felt at home. The vibe was super social, the facilities were amazing, the food as well, the staff was super friendly and super willing to help you! If you are planning to stay there I highly recommend you Dedi as a guide, he is a great motorbike driver and can show you hidden gems! (He made the impossible reality to show me everything I wanted to see) Plus you can get a massage right next door!! Honestly there is nothing I can say rather that I wish I had to spend more time there!! (All the people there prolonged their stay of 5-6 days, because it was a great place to both explore, but also not feel like a tourist, and experience the true Balinese vibe)

The hostel, the staff Dedi and Putu and the owners were incredibly nice, helpful and very friendly. The beds are super comfortable. Everything was super clean. The tempe burger with peanut sauce was a dream. Since I don't ride a scooter, Dedi drove me everywhere and showed me incredibly beautiful places and gave me an insight into the lives of the locals. I was there for two days five times because I liked it so much. I can only highly recommend booking this hostel. It was one of my best experiences on my trip to Bali. Nothing, I wish I would have stayed longer!

If I could I would rate Desa Hostel 1000 stars! The people working at Desa are so kind, authentic and welcoming. I enjoy spending time with Putu and Daddi, who are both so helpful and make everyone so comfortable. They are the best! Everything is extremely clean, the beds are very comfortable and the food so delicious. Eating breakfast and diner there was so enjoyable, and it was fun to talk to other travelers. Plus they have a billard. Is a bit away from Munduk, but they came to pick me up and you can then rent a scooter at the hostel or organize transport with them. We booked a day trip to the rice field and the driver was the best! So the distance from Munduk was not an issue at all for me, quite the opposite because the hostel is so calm and relaxing. Little note that there is a washer machine, water to refill your bottles and a massage place next door. Thank you guys!

Everything really: beautiful place, awesome locations amidst the jungle and rice fields, lovely staff, good food, nice comfy bed in a dorm in a very typical Balinese setup, good inexpensive food and chances to rent a scooter, also possibility to book massages at a spa next door. First of all, huge applause 👏 to Putu, a rare and precious pearl!!! He would always do his best to give us the best experience. I was amazed by his dedication. Thank you so much. All the people there were very nice and helpful. It was such a harmonious place. The property is amazing, so beautiful. A nice garden, large tables where you could work or eat, a huge bed with clean and comfy sheets/blankets/pillow. It felt so good to be there that I extended for 2 more nights. And the FOOD!!!! Absolutely amazing. I could have stayed just to cover all the dishes. Best food I’ve eaten in all Bali, and it’s very cheap. Just delicious. If you walk 20 min, you get into a rice field. Take the scooter and you could go to waterfalls, temples… Best hostel I’ve stayed in so far. Thank you so much to all the team.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful. Such friendly staff, made you feel at home immediately - very helpful with transport and recommendations for local sights. Although it is out of the center it was never an issue to get to anywhere, so please don't let that be a barrier to staying in such a wonderful location. (Also, bike hire is available). I extended my stay another 2 nights (4in total). If I had longer in Bali, I would return, highly recommend! Thank you all for a beautiful stay - it was perfect 🥰 Ps! The food is delicious!

Super social hostel in the right way! People who travel to Munduk is people who wants to be away from the crowds and see more of the real Bali - and Desa provides. The staff helped us to get a driver to explore the area, booked our taxis in and out and gave us amazing recommendations .
