Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyNegative: Only 1 toilet in the room for 10 people, without having another option on the same floor Building is old, need maintenance and a deep cleaning (shower has some mould on the wall, walls in general need some adjustments) No signs of the reception when you arrive because is inside a complex of houses & local shops Bed is soft, but that depends on your taste 3% charge for payments by card (i don’t think is mention anywhere, but is a common thing in asia countries) No towel provided but can rent i believe Some noises during the night & morning from neighbours living near the building
Good: Curtain near bed, along with blanket/power socket/light/small tray table Breakfast is the best thing! Is included in the price at a near bar, everyday you can choose 3 items including coffee/tea/water Wifi in the room is good (in common area a bit weak sometimes) Bathroom & shower in the room (but only one for 10 people, and no other toilet on the same floor, you need to get out and go to a nearby bar) Common area with seating space, free water/tea/coffee They organise tours Air conditioning is only active in some hours of the day (2pm - 10am) Host is friendly Locker to put your items, better to bring your padlock Soap for hand wash & shower provided (even though most times are empty, just ask the host to fill in again) Location is very central

IndonesiaThe were mause in common area, the I had breakfast included but I didn’t get nothing, there were a lot of ants, it’s too crowded if someone going to bathroom. I don’t actually recommend for solo traveler, no social thing happening.
The bed was very good

Thank you very much EKA. My white T-shirt was stained by the clothes hanger on the bed. The faucet here is very difficult to use and the stain cannot be cleaned. When EKA saw this situation, he brought a pot of stain removal product and applied it on the dirty parts with his fingers, and then the clothes became clean. Like a miracle. I wish EKA and all the lovely staff all the best and all their wishes come true.

BrazilOk just for one night emergency, if nothing else is available. But there are many options around... like bamboo hostel. They are a cheap stay but they seem to care only about the more money they can make with the excursions or other trips they can book outside Ubud. They forget about hosts breakfast, cleaning, toilet paper in the toilet, etc. I arrived 9h50 for brakfast and waited for almost 35 minutes at the place for breakfast and there was no one, there was a bell which a rang and 20 minutes later i saw there was people inside but just did not answer. They say breakfast is from 8h to 10h30 at reception. At the place it sais until 11h, but when I talked to this person who "runs" the place he said it was until 10ham, I showed him the sign saying until 10h30am and it was 10h15. He asked me if I would stay more or if I would leave because he needed to clean the place and change the bed sheets. I said I understood check out was at 12pm and The place is not very friendly for solo female traveler (unless you will use the spa downstairs and they will try to treat you better to make more money out of you). For women there has even visual don'ts at the wall, but men can do watever, they can smoke inside the place, they can do a mess in the toilet and flood it with water and stay 40 minutes occuping the only one bathroom in a room for 10 guests. The person who runs the place, seems like Gede, is the only one who knows things and he does not spread out communication. The first day he told me via booking chat I could go and leave my stuff at reception around 11h and if the bed was ready i could even leave it there. When I arrived no one knew about it and said "check in only 2pm". I said i needed to leave my bags there as I had talked to admin via booking and they had me fill out all information on a form and i had another appointment to go to... It seemed ok for one night but I needed to extend.
They clean the place every day

Russiacenter of Ubud where the hostel is - is a bit noisy and crowdy. but ok:) and i think there's no sign if a hostel from the road, so you have to ask to find it (but actually directions at the map are ok to understand where it must be)
the hostel is really good! clean, very near to all places, with comfortable beds. the breakfast was absolutely great - in a beautiful cafe next to the hostel!

This hostel is so great, I stayed 2 weeks. It's a quiet place in the center of Ubud, there is only one room and one living room, everything is so clean and the location is perfect. The breakfast is in the restaurant next to the hostel, you will like the pancakes! the staff is nice and helpful.
