Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandFantastic location in central Ubud but felt like we were in the jungle as soon as you pass reception. Spa on site was a bonus, great massage. Staff were so lovely, very helpful and organised private driver for us at a cheap price. Air conditioner had some issues in our room, room service was also a bonus when we weren’t feeling too good. No ventilation in bathroom, felt damp and stuffy.

FranceThe rooms are a bit old fashioned and the walla need to be painted again. The smell of the detergent was not good.

AustraliaHard to find a downside.
We had a wonderful stay at Dewangga. It was walking distance to everywhere however felt like you were miles away in a beautiful sanctuary. The gardens were gorgeous, the room well appointed and bathroom luxurious. The staff were all helpful, attentive and obliging, especially with my four year old daughter. The food was good and pool was well enjoyed!

Czech RepublicThe whole stay was absolutely amazing. The location is great and even tho you're right in the center of Ubud, it is very calm and quiet. The best thing about this hotel is the staff for sure. Everyone was super nice and helpful and they made sure that we had everything throughout the whole stay. Highly recommend getting a massage at the hotel. You can get an amazing full body massage for 60 min.

FinlandI think there were some animals running on the roof a couple of times, but that didn't bother me much.
Beautiful garden with plenty of butterflies and multiple fish ponds of big koi carps. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the city center, but relatively silent for such a central location. The room (222) was spacious and very clean, also the pool was clean, and big enough to actually swim in it. Prices in the restaurant and spa were very reasonable.

United KingdomAn oasis in the heart of Ubud, we loved our stay here after 4 months travelling around SEAsia. Yes the room was a bit dated but it was spotless and huge. The staff couldn’t do enough for us , always smiling and attentive. We loved the breakfasts so good to have such variety especially vegetarian and vegan options. The pool was perfect, we had a wonderful car tour one day, highly recommend. Great location with everything within walking distance.. don’t miss Melting Wok restaurant.

AustraliaSome construction work was happening in the property which was a minor inconvenience
Staff went out of their way to assist us and make us feel welcome. We cancelled a day of sightseeing because my wife was feeling unwell. We arrived at the property at 10.00am quite happy to find a place to sit and wait for check in at 2.00. Seeing my wife was unwell, the manager got on the phone to organise a room to be prepared quickly, took us through the check in process, showed us around the property and then took us to our room. Whenever any of the staff saw me that they day they all asked how my wife was going. Thats amazing service.

GermanyIt was PERFECT, right in the middle of Ubud, only few steps away from Ubud Art Market, but in complete nature. The food, room, poolside and especially the people there were more than amazing. Everybody was so kind to us, we had a great yoga class and the best massages of our lives. The view from our balcony was so calming and perfect, you see nothing but green. I can nothing but deeply recommend this place. I would choose it again every time!

AustraliaBathroom was a little dated, but functional.
The staff at Dewangga were world-class professional and simply wonderful. I travelled with my 4 year old and the staff treated us with such kind and generous hospitality. Little surprises of home-made crowns and fruit kebabs all made my daughter's holiday so memorable. We loved the pool, the pool side smoothies, the happy hour and the location was perfect to walk to restaurants, shops and tourist attractions (Palace, markets and temples). The room was large, well equipped with its own balcony and tea/coffee making. We could also access Netflix and YouTube in the room which helped for downtime. The spa experience was divine too and we loved the free activities where we got to paint our own bags. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it for couples, families and solo travellers - every one! Thank you Dewangga Ubub for making our stay incredible.
