Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We loved Di Abian Villa! The hosts Kadek and Yuli were so welcoming and accommodating! It is a unique Bali experience as the villa is situated in Kadek and Yuli’s family compound although they respected your privacy. It was the cleanest and best maintained accommodation we have stayed in on this trip. It was spacious, a comfortable bed and the pool and Bale were great. I was also able to rent a great scooter from Yuli. There were good cafes and warungs nearby, also a nice massage spa. Lipah Beach was only 100 metres away for great snorkelling. It was really good value to top it off! Highly recommend.

New ZealandNothing.
The villa is a modern villa, but with a traditional Balinese aesthetic set inside a beautiful family compound with stunning gardens. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly while also ensuring our privacy. The pool was gorgeous. The location is great, right next to the middle section Lipaj Beach, where we could rent beach chairs and snorkeling equipment.

The location is very nice, close to Lipah beach. The place is very beautiful and relaxing. I wish I had found it before as I would've liked to stay more time but we had to return to Denpansar to take our flight

AustraliaEverything was just perfect!
We are in our mid-80s and have visited Bali many times, staying in the usual places, but we had never been to Amed. So we took a risk and booked Di Abian Villa for a full 3 weeks, and we have absolutely no regrets - it's been our best Bali holiday ever: for a city person (of somewhat advanced age) it's like getting a foretaste of paradise. If, like us, you stay for more than a few days, you will not only enjoy the amazingly beautiful gardens and the wide choice of good warongs within walking distance, you are also bound to experience the Balinese values of being kind to others, looking after people the best way you can, and generally making people feel happy and content. Our hosts Kadek and Juliana always stood ready to help us resolve any problems, if necessary with the help of members of their extended family. But more than that, over the three weeks they delighted us with lots of unexpected and unasked-for surprises, too many to mention. For example, when they found out how much we liked coconut juice, they arranged for some of their nephews to come and climb up one of the trees in front of our swimming pool and pluck fresh coconuts for us: spectacular entertainment ending with delicious drinks. If you are not into the adventures and excitements offered on the west coast, give Amed a try. The snorkelling and diving is spectacular - we were lucky enough to actually see an octopus working his/her way around a boulder - and if you can stay for more than one or two days, definitely stay with Kadek and Juliana in Di Albian Villas.

AustraliaNothing!
This place felt like an amazing oasis and the hosts are just lovely. The garden is stunning and massive - full of flowers, bonsai trees, shrines and palms and a big tree for shade. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and has a small kitchen. The pool is very impressive! And it’s just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Very private and safe - just the one villa. Breakfast was delicious. I couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to come back.

Hong KongIf I have to say something, the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. No big deal.
A charming little villa that's built within the host's own property. We were taken by the beautiful garden. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing, a perfect spot to relax by. The villa was in close proximity to many restaurants and the beach, we had a lovely time snorkeling. The couple who owns the place and their staff were polite and friendly.

the private swimming pool is excellent! it's something that you need during gloomy weather. Instead of not being able to go to the beach, you can enjoy yourself relaxing in the pool that has a hill/mountain view in the background.

AustraliaReceived one bottle of water on arrival, but none the subsequent days. The kitchenette was good, but no supply of tea/coffee/sugar sachets so if you wanted this you had to buy your own. That said, didn't spoil holiday in anyway.
Very private villa in amongst beautiful gardens. Good size terrace. Private pool very enjoyable. Adequate breakfast delivered to your room. Short walk to Lipah beach with good choice of warung close by..

CanadaThe AC seems to require a change of freon, as it was not cooling well enough. Although nothing the owners can do, on our last night someone was burning trash in the neighborhood, and it was stinking badly inside our villa.
Awesome infinity pool, and very well maintained garden on the premise. The villa has a small kitchen, with stuff for cooking, and even a blender. There is also a medium sized fridge. The furniture is pretty, with Balinese motif. I appreciate the owners fpr providing a big water bottle with water dispenser on our request, as we hate to buy bottles and contribute to pollution.

Set in a beautifully manicured yard that is shared only with the property owners, who are very welcoming. Well equipped with lovely small pool, but best of all - fabulous snorkeling off the beach within 200 meters, and excellent warungs nearby.

AustraliaDO NOT stay here. Location is way up the hill of Amed/far away from the main drag. We arrived to the most unfriendly, uninterested and angry staff member. The property is on a family's compound with NO privacy whatsoever - the bed faces a window to the family's property so they can look straight in. You will need to get dressed etc in an entirely dark room with the curtains pulled across for a modicum of privacy. The bedroom was hot and poorly decorated, complete with cockroach and fly spray on the shelf. No mosquito net. There was a water filter in the kitchen that had long not been filled up, the toiletries in the room were cheap and nasty. The pool is literally in someone's front garden and the family will be watching you the entire time - we saw people peeking behind curtains. The final kicker was no water pressure whatsoever in the shower or bathroom sink. No extra towels provided for the pool, no welcome drink. We got the sense that we were intruding on them and were extremely unwelcome. It was also very apparent they are only in it for money and have no interest in making your stay special. You are provided with a Whatsapp number which did not connect to Whatsapp so had no real way to contact staff or arrange any day trips etc. Note that the property's name is identical to another Di Albian Villas which is next door, but this property is not signed or marked - another safety concern. We left the afternoon of arriving to a cheaper, lovely accomodation in Amed and the difference was night and day.
Nothing to like.

RussiaExtremely uncomfortable bed and pillows. I just couldn’t sleep for three night. The a/c is not cold enough. Overall had a feeling that owners don’t really care about making this place comfortable- they just put the furniture that they no longer need. The outdoor area could be used much better with a more comfortable furniture. The garden is really beautiful and well maintained, but i got a feeling I’m not really welcomed to observe it..
Nice cottage in a Beautiful garden, it’s actually a part of private premises , the landlord lives right next door. Private pool, 3 minutes to the great beach and snorkelling spot.
