Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBreakfast was outstanding served on the top floor with a view of the rice fields. There was always a cool welcome breeze as we ate. Wayan, the owner, was professional, helpful, fun and down to earth. It was always a pleasure chatting with him. The Villa itself is beautifully building. The exterior is decorated with Balinese trim which nicely frame the stunning wooden carved doors from Java. The location was perfect. I could be in Ubud center by foot in 15 min. I was a 5 min walk from the excellent Ubud Yoga House. Returning late at night, GoJek delivered me to the door of Eden House. If I ever return to Ubud, this is where I’ll stay.

United Statesit is about 250m from the main street where cars do not drive, but most of hotels in Ubud are the same. The slope to hotel is a little tough and the road to the hotel is little dark at night.
Very clean hotel with reasonable price. Owners and staffs were very friendly. The services were very helpful and outstanding! Breakfast was delicious

AustraliaIt's not that I didn't like it, but it's important to know that the last 200m to Eden is only accessible by foot or motorbike from the main road. Wayan was happy to take our luggage to the main road on his bike where we could meet a taxi. They are only too happy to help. The bathroom had 2 raised tile areas around the bath and toilet. They just require mindfulness not to kick your foot (which I did!! :-/ my own fault, but helpful to be aware.)
Kadek's home cooked breakfasts were such a delight each morning. Sitting on the 4th floor balcony overlooking the rice paddys watching the morning activities of the ducks and local 2 dogs, and the various wildlife in the coconut palms. It became a bit of a ritual each morning. Each day slowing us down and being more observant. We loved the Black Rice pudding with coconut cream and the Green Banana pancake in particular. Fresh papaya juice and ginger and lemon tea. There were western options of eggs, toast etc if you preferred. Kadek and Wayan have created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sharing their hearts in their food and in their attentiveness to their guesthouse and their guests. Our room on the 3rd floor had a very peaceful feel, was light and airy and air con to take the edge of the hot days. Very comfy bed and good bathroom. The room was meticulously cleaned every day, with the exception of one day when I really needed to rest with a cold, so we said it wasn't necessary. And they were keen not to disturb me and really wanted to do anything they could to help. Including offering to cook dinner that night. It was indeed such a delightful time and place to discover. Thank you Wayan and Kadek

FranceOur hosts at Eden House were very nice, friendly and helpful. The accomodation was perfect and deco absolutely amazing, as well as the view. We felt like at home. The rooms are very big and bathroom very nice with a shower and a large bathtub. The rooms were always very clean and neat. We also particularly appreciated the breakfasts (regret not demanding for the pancakes recipe!) If we were to come back to Ubud again we will definitely come back to Eden House!

ChileIt was quite hard to find; the sign at the front is too small and difficult to spot at night time. The hallway towards the property is narrow and dark.
The bed is super comfy. The room is big and clean. The aircon works quite well. The staff are friendly and very kind and the breakfast is absolutely delicious!! I had the green pancake and I just loved it!!

GermanyWe really enjoyed our stay at Eden House. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super delicious. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. You can reach the homestay from the street by a small alley either by foot or by scooter. It takes round about 5 min by foot. The lighting is not the best. However, the light from the smartphone ist sufficient to pass the alley. Only one small detail could be improved: The hairdryer had so less power that it was useless for drying the hair.

IsraelThe price was on the expensive side. Additionaly, the shower was really good, but they added a decorative element in which the sorounding of it is decorated with stones, which happens to be a great habitat for worms :/ so when you shower, you are in the clear, but around you, some worms emerge... and no one wants to shower with worms. They will not touch you, but you can see them climb the wall.
Great location, just 10 minutes walk from the center The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was excellent, had everything a traveller needs: a comfy bed, great ac, small fridge, a kettle, and a balcony with a view! (Yes, even for the low floor!)
