Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyThis hotel has made my visit to Ubud very memorable.. staff was incredibly helpful. Everyone was incredibly nice. Location wise, my first time, i thought I got lost because the road that leads to the hotel wasn't an asphalt or paved one... But after my first day I got used to the environment, and it all went great after that. They even helped me arrange a volcano visit.. overall this hotel was beyond my expectations.. so thank you

United KingdomI wanted a hotel on the edge of Ubud, but this seemed a bit further away from everything else than I wanted.
The staff were very helpful, and the restaurant was very good. Breakfast in the morning was individually cooked plates which was much better than a lot of the buffet breakfasts that I had been eating previously.

SpainIt's a bit further away from the centre and depending on shuttle services with a baby wasn't great for us. Not a big deal though.
The staff was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and caring with our baby, anytime again. The baby bed was great, and they even have a high chair. The room is spacious & comfortable, the massage was very relaxing. The breakfast was great, and with plenty of different choices.

AustraliaAs with all of Bali if the next door building wants to work at night then they do. But you expect that anywhere.
Very nice and food was priced reasonable. Breakfast included was great and had afternoon tea included. You will not go wrong with this place.

NetherlandsThank you Ibu Yuanita, Bapak Kristian, Bapak Mahendra, Bapak Dena and all the others. Tuhan Memberkati!
This place is a wonderful, new gem in Ubud. The staff was super friendly, the hotel and room are extraordinary clean and of a very high standard. There’s an infinity pool overlooking rice terraces and palmtrees. From your pool bed you can gaze for miles. Good for the inner work. And then there is the food, very good. Don’t forget to order a frozen soursop lychee cocktail. It is just paradise at Emana Akatara. Ubud centre is about 15 minutes to reach by Gojek/ shuttle service. It feels very refreshing to leave the busy centre and come home in the peaceful nature, and beautiful hotel room at Emana Akatara. This is the highest value I have ever encountered at a 3 star hotel. It should be rated higher in my opinion. Highly recommend for solo (female) travellers too. If you are doubting which place to pick: ~> pick this place.

UkraineThe location is good but the road is still under construction, so after sunset it's safer to go by car, not by bike.
Wonderful fresh rooms, comfortable, clean and stylish. Relaxing view at the rice field. Very friendly and helpful staff, always there to help and smiling.

AustraliaI honestly wish I could find fault in this place, but I just cant!!! I just wish I took my photos to be honest lol!!
What can I honestly say about this place? I've travelled and stayed at many places around the world, but this was BY FAR, the most peaceful and beautiful place I've ever stayed at. Nestled about 20 mins from Ubud Centre, which provided the perfect balance that I needed. I was originally only meant to stay 4 nights, and left after 12 days because I fell that much in love with it. The place itself, very clean, and newer than most around town. The restaurant provides delicious food and drink menu and all day breakfast option as well. They also include free afternoon tea as well with selection of tea and snacks/appetizers to go with. The room was amazing!!!! Free inclusions in the mini bar as well. Spotless, tranquil, comfiest bed too! bath tub in the middle which was sooo delightful to just relax and listen to music or watch a movie from. The verandah offers spectacular views of the gorgeous, green and lush surroundings and the pool area, offers beautiful views too! Very relaxing! What makes this place so unique and special though, is the people and staff here. Literally. I'm crying writing this because their kindness, generosity, care and consideration is above and beyond many places ive experienced. My father actually passed back in Australia during my earlier days staying here and the staff not only shed tears of compassion when they found out, but also sweetly gifted me some beautiful condolence flowers that just touched my heart! They really didn't have to at all, but they did. And that meant the world to me as I was alone, by myself during this time as well, far from home and familiarity. It's because of their kindness and hospitality and making sure I was okay, that I chose to extend further and allow myself the space to grieve and heal in what I call, a little slice of heaven on Earth. Ubud means "Medicine" and that's exactly what it is.. medicine for the soul.

GreeceBeautiful hotel! They welcome you with a warm herbal tea, the staff is always happy to help you! The room was absolutely beautiful and super clean. Every day you get bottles of clean water and the cleaning team enter to make sure you will get a clean room after a whole day of exploring. They also have a personal driver that you can book for airport transfers and even the whole day for your tours in a very good price. The breakfast is delicious with variety. Many thanks to Chris, Yuanita and Lena, they now feel like home. I’m already planning to go back, highly recommend.

AustraliaHidden gem! I’ve been to Bali a few times and this has exceeded expectations. A true relaxation in luxury. I absolutely enjoyed the serenity while being in comfort, the hotel had it all. The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and questions, particularly Puspa was so helpful giving us recommendations and arranging transportation to get us to places. AustraliaThe hotel is a bit far from Ubud central. It would be good if it would be walking distance from the hotel. The hotel's food menu is limited I wish I would have more options for breakfast and dinner especially when there is no other restaurants and places to eat on walking distance.
Rooms were spotless and staff was great. Overall, I recommend this place if someone wants to stay away from crowd and city traffic.
