Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Elevators were slow and malfunctioning, furniture in the rooms are old, we had to ask for several (basic) amenities that were missing (towels, hairdryer). The food in the restaurant is okay, but not excellent. Quite some showers didn’t have warm water.

The ceilings in the hallway are water damaged and smell of mold. Obvious lack of maintenance and care. Bathroom was cramped with the toilet placed in way that one has to.sit sideways. The coffee was barely drinkable.. Definitely a "by" Sheraton not "a".
Easy check in and restaurant facilities at the location are good. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly

The quality of the towels and the sofa and the linen could have been upgraded for the Executive Suite. Also please pay attention to the bathrobe because when I arrived there was no bathrobe at all until i rang the housekeeping.

The pool only had 1 sunbed and there was not much to do in walking distance from the hotel

General maintenance like using glue on door hinges makes the aesthetics look cheaper. The phone all the buttons are useless for all services what ever button you hit it's always operator first then transfer. Makes the phone call longer then needed.
Awesome staff, very friendly and helpful. Very clean room and the room boy comes often to make sure you have enough water and keep the place very clean. Great location central to everything you want do in makassar. If you are in need to do business online or watch 4k anything in indonesia the internet speeds alone is almost worth it. 200 mbps. Most hotel even 5 star ones you lucky to get 15 mbps which is subpar when dealing with 4k. Also many plugs are multinational, very good if you just landed and have not bought converter, just very convenient.

The smell of the room, it smells old and moldy.
The location is not that accessible. The main highway outside is crowded and there's no pedestrian lane and seems very dangerous for people that are just walking, especially the motorcycles.

The rooms air-conditioning didn't work at all. After 2 days at 28C watching maintenance come and go I finally got moved to a different room. Doesn't anybody check the rooms for this before renting out? The food in the hotel was basic at best, nothing but 7-11 and street carts in the area. The Location is terrible and requires taxis to do anything. It can take an hour for these at peak times. There is no Bar or Alcohol in the hotel or surrounding walking distance area. An important fact hidden in the hotel advert despite the use of glasses beer in pictures and on the room key card they give you. This hotel has an unusual amount of conference rooms with only 3 elevators, 1 is for residential use only. Expect long waits during office hours.
The staff were helpful and nice.

i upgraded to a suite with a dining area but the toilet wouldn’t flush - this is the Four points no less! they came to fix it and it only lasted one flush! very very annoying and upsetting as it was an upgraded suite. Hot water was barely lukewarm. we came back from toraja looking forward to a hot shower. this is a brand name but a let down.
location and the chinese restaurant . staff were very nice and polite and probably trying their best to make up for the depilated /aged facilities.

- in general hotel is run down (mould on ceilings, ceiling falling off, stained carpets etc) and in need of a full renovation. Photos used on booking.com are misleading because they were clearly taken when the hotel was first built or renovated last. Not of the usual Sheraton standard we have experienced, e.g. Four points Manado. - pool very dirty and in need of repair, many tiles missing. Space is underwhelming too, only 1 sunbed. - Bar called ‘best brews’ and advertises craft beers but the hotel sells no beer and on the night we went there they also had no soft drinks. Turns out that pretty much every day we asked the hotel had no soft drinks, only water. - Gym, most electronic machines not working and aircon not working. Room was very hot. - placed in wrong room and then given a room missing a shower screen, stained carpets etc
