Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EstoniaThe breakfast was a bit bland for a European. However, there was a choice. The coffee was terrible, but for an extra fee you could also get normal coffee ! The juices are diluted with water. The fruit selection was very poor.
Very cozy hotel with its tropical courtyard and swimming pools. Perfect location in the center of Kuta. Quiet and away from the city noise. We booked the Madya Studio room and it met our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful.

AustraliaI'd definitely stay at Fourteen Roses again. I stayed in the Royal Poolside Room which was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The grounds are stunning. Small boutique style hotel which I prefer. Breakfast was great to start off the day. The location was ideal. The only slight downfall was waiting for towels for the pool and they could do with a couple of more day beds at the lower pool. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

MalaysiaThe breakfast was poor, so much so we actually took breakfast in a hotel opposite The breakfast filtered coffee was poor The breakfast seating area was not big enough for the amount of rooms and guests in the hotel The gym was disappointing, very small, poor, with two broken pieces of machinery
The staff were polite, very friendly. The overall setting of the hotel was very nice. Boutique style and right in the heart of Kuta I thought the room relaxing, the bed very good and balcony very nice

SpainThe breakfast has a lot of strange things, but not hot milk! the main international product for breakfast. They have cold milk and they can heat it, but you need to ask for it. Of course, they don't have Nesquik or any kind of soluble cocoa. No cereals variety either. No blinds, no curtains enough
It is ok, the common areas and pools are very very nice. Staff people amazing also. The room no, they don't have blinds, and there are small windows above the door with even no curtains. So there is light since 6 am in the room.

New ZealandThe breakfast buffet was passable, but after the 2nd day we found ourselves going next door to enjoy a fresh cooked breakfast and smoothie. The hotel has a lot of shade, shrubs, water sources so basically mosquitoes. I would advise asking/taking some bug spray to spray the room at night before going to bed, also take some repellant.
Loved most things about this cool little boutique hotel even though it is in the heart of the hustle and bustle, the hotel itself provided a tranquil place to relax and chill in.

AustraliaWe were in the quiet end of hotel.. the late pub music from next can be heard in that room but didn’t bother me., but bothered some of the other guests. It’s in Legian Road bordering Kuta so the whole strip is pretty lively. My partner would have liked another small garbage bin in the room
Breakfast was good plenty on offer with an Indonesian style. Location was great!! For shopping and easy 40 min walk to Kuta Beach. The staff were exceptionally lovely and helpful. Will stay again. There is a great lane behind the the hotel that you can walk through the hotels restaurant and to the left down the lane are a few spas which are very reasonably priced and there two great handmade leather shops mainly bags and wallets

LatviaAt first our driver (from different hotel) dropped off us at wrong hotel - they have two fourteen roses hotels - one in beach area and other that has name "Legian" in it. Be careful to note this to your driver or you'll have to walk ~1 km to the real (Legian) hotel with your bags (beach hotel didn't help us to find transfer to real hotel). We were a bit disappointed in hotels restaurant after having a lunch there - we ordered some BBQ ribs and they were very dry, chewy and too spicy (it almost seemed that with spices they are trying to hide the real taste). We read that few months ago these kind of problems started to occur because of some changes in restaurant staff. In the evening we wanted to swim in the pool (around ~8:00 pm) and there was no staff in the pool bar area. Because of that we couldn't get pool towels. Waited for many times in pool bar area - no one came to us. There are moments when bathroom has some sewer smell, but it was tolerable.
Spacious apartment with big bedroom, two bathrooms, living room, terrace and kitchen area. Breakfast with a lot of options ("Swedish table"). Room had 2 TVs and 2 ACs, hairdryer and some free drinking water bottles, electronic safe deposit box, bath robes. Two outdoor pools (you can actually swim the distances there), bar and SPA complex. Nice garden area. Reception is working 24/7. They greeted us with welcome drink and rice-flower Balinese blessings. In a few minute walk or ride from hotel you can access everything you need. We really appreciated that after checkout we were able to storage our bags in the hotel, so for few hours till our flight we could still walk around and enjoy Legian and Kuta.

AustraliaI did have a recurring concern with a leaking aircon unit and also the safe. These were resolved with wonderful service and timing though, but dropped a few points off from my experience.
Location, staff and breakfast (if you got there early in service) were great. The pools were very relaxing and the layout of them and the gardens create a really beautiful environment.
